  1. Good non-answer. Such as? You are going to need at least one more PH in this game. So I guess in your odd littkle baseball world you'd rather see MacGruder and Durro in the 7th-9th instead of Branyan and Hall. Once again, because it didn't work out, it was a bad move by Yost. Gimmie a break.
  2. And who should have been hitting there?
  3. Does anyone else think Rickie is afraid of the ball hitting him when he dives? He just sort of stabs at it once he hits the ground.
  4. If ever they needed a 1-2-3 inning, this would be it!
  5. BA's as PH... Branyan - .000 MacGruder - .244 Better chance of hitting the ball to the right side to get a run in? Debatable I suppose, but I'd go with MacGruder.
  6. For teh love of God people. MacGruder's job (which he failed at) was to get a run in, even with an out and get Brady to teh plate with a chance to score another run or two. If Branyan K's there, Brady comes up with 2 outs and no runs in, and you need a hit to get a run or two anyway. MacGruder was teh correct call. He just didn't get it done. Once again, teh Yost bashers work under the assumed ceryainty that Branyan would have delivered.
  7. Completely disagree. Putting in an all or nothing guy who is very prone to the K with bases loaded, one out, for one AB in the 4th inning would have been a mistake. Who would you rather have later in the game, Branyan or MacGruder? Again, because it didn't work out, you consider it a mistake. If Branyan would have struck out, I am pretty sure you would have considered that move a mitake as well.
  8. The 10 games with Houston definitely could make a difference. Once you've played those, if you gou 6-4, you're 2.5 back. Go 4-6 and you are 6.5 back. Of course there are many other games to be played as well, but it does present them a tremendous opportunity.
  9. It doesn't matter much today, but with each passing day it matters more and more. Unfortunately, as the NL East teams play eachother, the wins and losses for those teams will even out. The Brewers will have to win a whole lot of games to get ahead of them. You are right in that a modest winning streak will do wonders though.
  10. Milwaukee Brewers = Tough guys!
  11. Anyone listening to radio, is Wise ready to come in? Is he even up?
  12. Two on with Beltran and Wright coming up. Lovely!
  13. Given turnbow's wrkload, does anyone know if Wise is up in the pen?
  14. In refernce to the Durrington bunt, I say... HOFFY replies... What can I say? When you're right, your right. The suckfest that is the Mets bullpen was the difference in this game.
  15. Who the hell is gonna hit after Jenkins?
  16. This is all you can ask for in this one. Jenks with a chance.
  17. Ummm...Doug Davis walked SEVEN batters, and gave up 6 runs. That is where the game was lost! Lyle Overbay? Ned Yost? Please! When your SP can't get out of the 4th, you probably are not going to win.
  18. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif That's right. In your odd little baseball worls, if someone other than Ned was managing the Brewers, they would be up there challenging the Cardinals. If only it were that simple. I guess we better fire Doug Melvin since he can't see that its that simple. Just think of all those WS trophies Attanasio could get his hands on if the BRewers just had a different manager.
  19. If he doesn't get out of this, is it safe to assume this will be the last time we see ol' Julio?
  20. When you take a look at the suckfest that the Mets bullpen is, it makes perfect sense. If either one of those gusy gets a hit, you are tied and there is still a man on base. It doesn't make sense to a second guesser such as yourself because it didn't work. Two on nobody out, and a stikout prone lefty coming up against a lefty, it was absolutely a good call.
  21. What are you talking about? They got the run they got because of the bunt, unless you somehow guarantee that Branyan/Durro would have gotten a hit there.
