  1. Like I said before the game, Clemens is neither a crafty, soft tossing lefty, nor a rookie making his debut, so we hung 5 on him.
  2. we take the lead if Jenkins bunts, nice job billy, though
  3. the other day, Overbay bunted on his own in a situation like that to help the club win. Jenkins hits a flyout to center on a 3-0 pitch that dors nothing for the team
  4. Give it up to Lyle for building up Clmen's pitch count. 8 pitches and counting, well a nine pitch at bat is pretty valuable against a guy like Clemens
  5. That lineup just screams offense...as in bad language can be seen as offensive to some viewers. Edit: before people get too mad at me, I was referring to their #s against Clemens
  6. Interesting how every year, exept for this one, has some reporter spouting off about someone on pace for 80 HRs, and I've heard D Lee being mentioned as a possible triple crown guy, but no one seems to mention how close Clemens is to 1.12, Bob Gibson's record ERA that has at times been listed as one of those unbreakable records in sports. I think a <1.12 era for a whole year would be a stunning accomplishment far more credit worthy than the triple crown.
  7. I especially like the part where the guy in the center of the pile is wearing #123, as in the rooter is the middle of a 1-2-3 inning...hope it is not a sign of the future
  8. On the bright side, we are facing niether a crafty, soft tossing lefty, nor a rookie call up. We should tear this Clemens guy up.
  9. I had planned on watching tomorrows game, but now I think i need to play with matches, or pick at a scab, run with scissors, or somethine tomorrow in stead
  10. the University of Denver Bulldogs just lit usa up for 17 hits and 11 runs.......
  11. There's some salt in the wound, let rooter hit...hopefully that was one of those "let him get one last at bat before he gets sent down" jestures by Yost.
  12. He may have battled, but we are getting crushed by Todd Helton and the San Andrea Little League team. I've only heard of a couple of these guys
  13. We need to get one of those players that can hit any pitch. Like Vlad, but we can't afford him, so someone else. We need someone to be able to hit the soft tossing lefties, and the rookies makeing their debut
  14. yeah rluz, I'm stuck, too, maybe Hart or Weeks will go deep, at least that's what I keep thinking
  15. I think they meant to bring Lehr in for his bat, he's up 6th next inning...
  16. Reyes, straight from beating the Brewers, came back for more. His line in Nashville? 7 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and 15, (yes I said 15) strikeouts
  17. Why so much blame on rooter? I have said it a bunch of times in this thread because it is true.. He would be the 4th outfielder in Nashville. if a for real Major League hitter had K'd with 1 out and the bases loaded in the 8th, I would be less mad. He was a free out.
  18. Mr. thepurplestorm, my opinion of your posts just dropped. If the rooter were selling peanuts, the Sugeon General would come out with a proclamationthat all peanuts were infected with butulism, and if anyone were to eat them, they would die a painful death
  19. Some people don't realise that this is what most of us have feared for the whole freakin' year. Our talent level is not high enough for us to play a whole competitive year. our depth is the worst of any pro team in any pro league. WE NEED TO MAKE SOME CHANGES NOW!!!!!!!!!! I am sick and tired of people being so positive about such glaring mistakes This team is a folley. The talent we DO have has caried us this far, but our depth is far beyond abysmal. One mediocre center fielder gets dinged up and rooter starts. If Miller gets hurt, Moeller starts. if we lose a starter, Helling starts. None of our 3rd basemen are established major leaguers. And the list goes on and on..... edit: Politics shall not be argued at brewerfan...
  20. On the bright side, it seems as though Justin Upton may be available when we pick first next year................
  21. Right now, next year seems so far away
