  1. EDR, All last year I thought you were nuts, but what do I know... He's a freaking stud so far this year. Here's to continued success! Seth
  2. I listen to the games bud, I just don't like listening to the other side, so to speak. Seth
  3. Is it wrong to like this Helena team as much as I do? I wish they had audio, would make it easier to follow. Though I still enjoy listening to the sounds when possible. Seth
  4. More like "my way" Russ.. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Seth
  5. someone someplace once told me "Great rewards require great risk"... or maybe it was in a quote book I was reading at the clinic... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I find Yost's decisions puzzling at times as well, but I think the coaching staff in general tries to be too creative and makes mistakes. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to do just make the easy and fundamental call. I can't tell you the number of discussions that have ended by deciding to do what's most "fundamental". I'm much happier to see the entire bullpen being used, instead of the same 3 pitchers everynight, than I'm upset that they called that silly squeeze. Also it's an old baseball thought to play for the win at home and the tie on the road, I just think that Yost and staff always try to take it a bit too far and run themselves out of innings when the situation doesn't require a ballsy type move. Play for the win, but do it conservatively. Seth
  6. Salome with 47 RBIs so far in 32.5 games, just unreal. I might end up hopping on a bandwagon here yet for someone below AA... Seth
  7. Mass.... Nashville won, but otherwise yea, quite a few tough losses. Seth *edit* nevermind, I see you added the record in the subject, my bad.
  8. Triple by Ford and Double by Crew and the Helena Crew takes the lead in the top of 11. Seth
  9. Salome 2 for 2 (what's new) but Helena is losing, and Nashville fell apart in the last hour and is getting crushed now. Seth
  10. Bill means 3rd base right? Man he drives me nuts. Seth
  11. He "took a play off" and allowed a runner to move up a base for no reason. Seth
  12. What's not to like about Dana so far this year? Small sample, but he's pitched awfully well replacing Phelps. It's well deserved love in my opinion. He just pounds the zone. Seth
  13. I agree with the comments about Santos, he's looked like crap since the end of June when I saw him pitch against the twins at the Keg. Maybe he's only an 80-100 inning guy and should be in the pen? I'd be fine with giving lil Ben another shot if this is the way Santos is going to pitch the rest of the year. Seth
  14. *As Brian opens the door to the seemingly obvious flood of posts* This shot is just too easy to call... Seth
  15. Wasn't there a post somewhere about Lil Weeks signing with the crew? Or I am crazy because I can't find it? Seth
  16. Fermaint Picked Off twice and Caught Stealing twice, and he still scored 2 runs? Or am I reading that box score wrong? Seth
  17. I dislike polls as well, but they've always been popular on the boards I've frequented. I voted for their own thread, that way both sides could get what they want at a minimal inconvience to the mods. Seth
  18. as Yoda would say... "So bitter you are." Seth
  19. I was going to post something good about Pratt just to be contrary, but unfortunately I couldn't think of anything witty so I'll second Mass. Seth
  20. Scoop needs a hug I think... I can't remember the last time someone mentioned Hart without jabbing at him about the elbow thing... Seth
  21. Anyone have Hart's BA since April handy? He's all the way back to .290... Seth
  22. I can't see Braun in the top 10 until at least seeing how he fairs in A ball. I'd agree with DHonks that he's probably a low to mid teen type guy. I've liked what I've seen in the few games I've gotten to see him play, which is a very small sample, but translating college success through 4 lvls of minor league baseball to MLB is something else entirely. There have been so many talented guys don't ever make it to the bigs for so many different reasons which is why I'll say again that I have a hard time getting excited about anyone lower than AA. Actually, to be honest I'm more of skeptic until they reach the majors and produce, until then it's just a "whatever". Even then my hopes have been dashed in the past like a Pat Listache (sp?) for example. I do have my favorite prospects though, but I'm just not as fanatical as some. As I said previously, I enjoy the power 50 for Toby's comments which I find insightful and humorous, I don't worry about the actual rankings. Seth
