  1. As much as all of these things, that age of 21 is such a big deal!
  2. I wonder. The thought I had about an extention now is that the team is out of town until the end of this week. But ... hopeful!
  3. You mentioning the names triggered a question for me ... did anyone think it was strange that Payne hit the list but Fischer still hasn't? I guess to me that is saying that we generally are overrating him and his big power start this season. Thoughts?
  4. Agreed. And they sorta seem they are thinking that way as well with Bauers getting some OF starts in Houston. If Vaughn for Frelick is a regular lineup change, that will definitely help lengthen the batting order.
  5. I had thought in the spring he was solidly in the running for the 3B job, but obviously wasn't the case. Love that line about the numbers in the minors being all liars this year!
  6. I've been thinking that they may be getting a feel whether Fischer can play 3B (and Adamczewski play LF) before any elevation.
  7. Super interesting to see Lara, Adamczewski, and even Burke rated as high as they are!
  8. He really doesn't seem to, even in interviews. Serious guy, pitching seriously well. Love the tandem type role that he and Patrick are being used in. Great use of having so many starters!
  9. I would've had Pena in LF ... except now it seems Adamczewski is bookmarked for there. So who is playing 2B? With potential power guys to play 3B, why wouldn't Pratt/Made be the middle infield?
  10. Ugh. The 6 year control changing would be completely a pro-big market team issue. I guess that type of thing would completely show that any small market owners who don't fight it do not care about making their teams good. It would be interesting to see that, at a time when the US major sports are all opening to more and more world involvement, as that would be MLB really changing the Latin American systems. Which - to be fair - currently is such an interesting balance .... you pay big $$ money for young kids, and also tap even younger kids (12yr olds!) into an environment to build toward those paydays. But those kids also have to deal with infrastructure, culture, and many other issues, to perhaps peak in A ball somewhere. Quite the balance of good/bad, currently.
