  1. Exactly. I think it was one or the other. With Alexander and Stokes - Campbell is the selection.
  2. I've seen the Packers linked to Boye Mafe, and edge defender from Minnesota. He had a really good Senior Bowl and looked great at the combine (ran a 4.53 40 yard dash). He's a fast, explosive pass rusher - with high potential. He's still got a lot to learn - and has been just average in other areas of the game. Originally he was seen as more of a 2nd round guy - but his combine really helped push him up - possibly into the 1st round - due to his promise of being a premium pass rusher.
  3. Regarding Crosby, it might just be a simple 'hang on to him and see if we find something better' type of move. They can still cut him. Or get him to take a lower salary. Right now, unless they need the $2M or whatever he will save on the cap it just isn't necessary.
  4. Well, Packers doing all they can to keep things rolling for another year. Rogers back and extended. P. Smith extended. Campbell with a new deal. Restructures on some veterans to clear cap room. Tendered Lazard. Franchise Adams. Released Turner and Z. Smith Next moves: Work out new deal for Adams. See if they can re-sign Douglas. Figure out Tonyan's future. Restructure Cobb's deal to save a little money. Extend Alexander. Prepare for draft. We really need depth all over the place. We'll jump through salary cap hoops for the rest of Rodgers' time here, but that's fine. We are all in for the next 2-3 years. I'll enjoy it, and hope Rodgers keeps playing well and we go out and win a Super Bowl.
  5. Perhaps Turner's injury he suffered late last season has the Packers a little worried. Just a thought.
  6. Brewers reportedly talking with McCutchen. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/brewers-in-talks-with-andrew-mccutchen.html
  7. I'm guessing Cobb is cut and resigned to a lower deal. He is scheduled to make a base salary of $7.8M. That needs to go down - a lot.
  8. Good price on a guy who did well for us last year. Good addition.
  9. To me Cruz makes sense because he adds what we need (power) and at a decent price (probably around $12-14M) and without a long term attachment (one-year deal). However, with as many teams in on Cruz as people are saying, it might drive up his price. Yes, there's risk at his age. But no matter who Milwaukee signs, it's going to have some sort of caveat. That's assuming we don't want to spend a ton and give a lot of years on a deal.
  10. The hot tub is smoking. Lots of veterans coming off the board. Steve Cishek, Joe Kelly, Josh Harrison, Jose Iglesias, Luke Maile (former Brewer), Jeurys Familia, and Alex Colome all have signed today. Former Brewer farmhand Miguel Diaz signed a minor league deal with Detroit.
  11. Not at all. A 30 HR right handed bat would be sweet. He's 42 - key is how much he has left in the tank. A one-year deal would likely be all the team should have to commit to the guy.
  12. Head over to this tread to vote by March 31: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=41390

  13. James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub - for those who never saw it.
  14. That's why I think he's still a rookie. I'm guessing baseball-reference doesn't take that into account. But I'm not positive. Either way, he's eligible for our list. I am final arbiter of all things in the Prospect Poll! I have spoken.
  15. Bears know they won't win next year. They need to clear their cap as much as possible, and add young talent. Mack is still a good player, but he's a luxury for a team in their position. Whatever they got draft pick wise was a bonus.
  16. Man, James Brown Hot Tub was amazing.
  17. Baseball is back! That means it's time for another prospect poll. We we would like to invite everyone to take part in the 2022 Pre-Season BF Fan Community Top 25 Prospects voting. Voting is now open. You need to submit on this thread your top 25 Brewer prospects by April 4. Feel free to list any resources or news that you feel might help people with their voting. IMPORTANT: Please include upwards of 30 prospects in your list. This way, if one your guys gets traded before the deadline, we can just bump everyone. As the Brewers will likely be active at this year's deadline, this is VERY important. Voting concludes on April 4. You can change your votes at anytime through that date. This will be especially important if we acquire any prospects in any trades - or lose guys and you don't include extras. RULES 1. Submit your Top 25 prospects (again, a list of 30 is best), in order, by end of day on April 4, 2022. Put the player's full name to avoid any confusion. I appreciate it you would number them. Also, please list your players from #1 to #30. 2. You MUST submit 25 prospects. If there are only 10 or 15 or whatever, your list will not be included. 3. You are encouraged to go beyond pick #25. 30 is best. This way if a player you vote for is released or traded, or you list someone twice, or whatever, we can just bump up your next player. 4. Rankings are determined by total points. The top prospect gets 25 points, second prospect gets 24 points, etc. 4. As noted above, if you submit your list and want to change something, just add the change to the thread via the edit function. I'll accept changes up to the deadline. 5. Within a week or so after the deadline, we'll publish the new BF.net Community Top 25. Eligibility guidelines Rookie eligibility is determined by the same standards as MLB: “A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has (a) exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues; or (b) accumulated more than 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club or clubs during the period of 25-player limit (excluding time in the military service and time on the disabled list).” Note: I have seen some conflicting information on Aaron Ashby. Baseball-Reference lists him as having 46 days of experience - and marks him as having 'exceeded' rookie eligibility. However, every prospect list people have him as being rookie eligible. Thus, I am making him eligible for this poll. - Players graduated from Top 25 list: Jake Cousins - Other players who have exceeded rookie limits: Ángel Perdomo, Miguel Sánchez - Eligible players with ML experience: Justin Topa, Alec Bettinger, Corey Ray, Mario Feliciano, Aaron Ashby - Ineligible players: Ángel Perdomo, Miguel Sánchez, Jake Cousins, J.C. Mejia If there are any questions, please ask in the thread or message me. Players no longer in organization - David Hamilton (#17) - Traded - Alex Binelas (#19) - Traded - Patrick Weigel - Elected minor league free agency - Zach Green - Elected minor league free agency - David Fry - Traded We will add any other names here if someone is dealt or released or there is an error. 18. I'd love to get Lopez and Connaughton back in the next couple of weeks to give them some games to get up to speed.
  19. Yeah, definitely helped himself.
  20. rumors are that they are going to go after Jimmy G. If i was the colts owner I'd fire their GM immediately. He gave away a 1st for 1 year of Wentz and did even go to the playoffs and all he got back was a swap of 2's and 2 3's. I'm surprised the Colts got that much for Wentz. And they don't have to pay any of his salary. Two thirds is just fine (of which one can turn into a 2nd if Wentz plays a lot). Plus there's the switch of the 2s.
  21. Honestly, that's why a Love trade for them makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't spend tens of millions of dollars on ANY of the FA QBs and expect them to be better than Wentz. Love would be fascinating for Indy. With Taylor, not everything would be on him. Perhaps they add someone like Fitzpatrick as well - just in case Love flops.
  22. Embedding tweets. That's good to finally have that. A responsive site is very welcome as well.
