I would obviously bunt if I had to have McGehee hitting. this is a situation where i may even consider bunting. of course RR does not

my problem is with the bunt. just like it will be this friday when RR bunts in the 3rd with a 2 run lead. My problem will be with the bunt. OR on sat when he bunts down 3 in the 4th. my problem will be with the bunt. Or like in the double header when he sacrifices 3 times with a huge lead. my problem will be with the bunt.

I do suppose its a good idea to look back at what happened to decide if it was the best idea to do it or not. funny, i was composing my original post before the bunt. nice try, and good addition to the conversation.

Awesome chance a DP kills the rally. I would also disagree that there was a decent chance he does any of those three things you mentioned. lets look at the result. 0 runs + and he got the bunt down. sweet.

I am so sick of bunts. every time a pitcher comes up and there is a guy on. its bunt. bunt. bunt. We are down 2 runs against an AA baller. what do we? Bunt. Im so sick of it. It makes no sense. If you want to be aggressive, play for the big inning. The bunt is the opposite of aggressive. man i hate it.

remember how damn hard rickie ran the other day when he got caught in a bad base running situation. casey doesn't move, incredible. that has got anger his teammates. Im sure they are growing ever ready for his demotion.
