i agree. those were just terrible called strikes. he could have just umped us out of a big innning.

if we are going to make arm chair suggestions, I have been waiting for years to see rickie calm down his pre-swing routine. all the waggle and his low hand position drives me nuts. Its completley unneccessary and i think leads to him getting caught off guard. every so often a fast working pitcher will be into his motion and rickie is not ready to hit. time for craig counsell type epiphany. just stop rickie --its not helping you.

just to pile on RR, I completely dont understand his bunting logic at all. he sacrifices in the first, but refuses to the bunt the runner over in the ninth when the brewers are down one, no outs, guy on second. I dont think i would bunt in any situation other then down one in the ninth. RR bunts in just about situation, then refuses to bunt when i can finally get on board with idea. he is really frustrating. I miss macha so much.
