  1. I miss prince fielder. I think I'm having some delayed emtions pop up tonight. Just looked up his career numbers. Happy he finally got that .300 season last year. Man he was really, super ultra productive as a brewer hit 50 and 40+ bombs .299 twice. Im remembering how much fun it was to watch him hit. He added the scare factor to the lineup. I loved him. If i had to choose him or Braun, its prince --no question. On a similar note I'm also missing my middle school girlfriend. It was always you Emily.

  3. Am I the only one who doesn't understand this rule as it is written
  4. Seems like a good deal for a .300 hitter. His defense is just the icing.
  5. to gif masters, same topic more gifs please!
  6. 15 pages and counting in 2 days, good stuff. there so many financial managers on bfan. Mark A, doesnt appear to set an annual budget. I let him worry about the money. if people are really concerned about brewer finances stop sneaking beers & hot dogs into the game. I lean towards liking the deal. Mostly becuase i still believe in the 2013 brewers. The offense was great last year and weeks and gomez are off to hot springs. How good can they be if weeks is an all-star and hart comes back quickly? The rotation needed something, i'm not sure it had to be lohse, but there is no question an upgrade was in order to stay competitive. here is my main concern, if the brewers get into the playoffs their lack of "plus" starters will likely be their demise. Maybe a guy like peralta develops, but 2 starts from gallardo and lohse in a short series doesn't scare anyone.
  7. --john hammond begs to differ
  8. wow, that was really unlucky braun hammered that ball and looked 1st was not touched
  9. i understand the general consensus on bf is that coaches dont impact performance, but this is a really strong statement. I would argue that his firing must make at least a minimal difference one way or the other. MLB clubs are buisnesses, if coaches didn't make any difference there is no way smart and savvy owners woud dole out the cash to keep them around.
  10. I put a lot of stock in pitchers that can go out year after year and start 34 games and throw 200 plus innings. you should take stock of what sheets actually did when he was here. GAMES STARTED 2002 34 (4th in NL) 2003 34 (3rd in NL) 2004 34 (5th in NL) ben sheets is also on my short list of favorite brewers. olympic champ, hes a baseball guy--check out his kids names. Nasty stuff and great personality. works for me everytime.
  11. holy mother me too. that sheep rubs me the right way. i can't stop watching it. I laugh every time
  12. wasnt it you who asked for 15 innings. thats a lot of bullpen

  14. wolf has just got to be absolutely steaming mad right now.
  15. --according to joe buck that is only the 2nd failed attempt. oops i meant joe block wowsers.
  16. RR called the suicide squeeze, just like the oracle Rluz suggested he might. captain fudamental nyjer didn't get it done. short story we got two ABS with the bases loaded and no one out.
  17. RRs strength = setting up a little league clubhouse where everyone is just peaches. RR's locker room post game pep talk: "hey good game guys, you all tried your best tonight right? great! now who's mom brought the snacks? yeah, maldy, your mommy brought scooby doo grammy crackers yum-my. No rickie you can't one for Jemile, these are only for team brewers". Ill take Machas far superior baseball sense 2x over RR and 3x over yost.
  18. RR will bunt with any part of the lineup and with any score differential up UNTIL the 8th.
  19. petco park tops my list. I loved the wide concourses and the feild vantages while you move about the stadium. miller park is up on my list becuase of accessible parking and tailgating. features not readily avialable at some ballparks petco dodger safeco county miller kauffman us cellular wrigley metrodome
