  1. I'm definitely glad Ashby and Megill are both avail tonight.
  2. If interested, ESPN released updated farm system ratings today: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/49734496/2026-mlb-prospect-rankings-update-farm-systems-30-teams-brewers-dodgers-orioles-rays 1. Milwaukee Brewers: $602.1 million Quality depth rank: 3 Previous rank: 1 The Brewers are operating at a high level right now: they have the top prospect in the sport (Jesus Made), opened the spring with the top farm system in the sport, have the best record in the sport and despite graduating two top-50 players in the past month (Cooper Pratt and Luis Lara) and trading another top-100 prospect (Alexander Frias) at the deadline, still have the top farm system in the sport -- and by a pretty solid margin. In addition, the big league roster largely comprises homegrown players and players who got much better after Milwaukee traded for them; the scouting and development departments are working together and producing results as good or better than every other organization in baseball.
  3. Glad you're OK. This place isn't the same without you.
  4. Unfortunately, some kid with a .066 average just won the game for the Braves.
  5. Agree, total cupcake schedule. My view is it's pretty hopeless to stay ahead of the Dodgers.
  6. Pratt might leave a trail of fire behind him running to first here.
  7. "Bounces are going the Brewers' way early." Not if you ask May, I'm guessing.
  8. Joey O would've made that play. Cooper message worth it?
  9. Crazy stat I heard today: the Angels have lost 9 games when leading heading into the 9th. Brewers tie-in: the current record is 11 by the 1978 Brewers. Guys must've been jumping off bridges that season.
  10. It does though. Get yourself into trouble enough times and you will get burned.
  11. He's got a knack for escaping games with numbers better than he pitched. His last start against the Mets was the same thing: only 2 ER's, but it was a horror show to get there.
  12. Lara hesitated. He should've been safe; that play took forever.
  13. He's got OK speed (8 sb's); he's just a terrible fielder. When mlb.tv gives the lineup positions with defensive numbers, Bauers is -5 (maybe worse now).
  14. That's new this year. I think every team gets one Saturday off.
