Yes. Go back and look at the game threads for the series. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone wrote how bad the Cards bullpen was and how the Brewers were going to crush it. I can't believe Larussa pulled Motte in the 9th for Rhodes. How can you call a guy your closer and then pull him the first time he gets in a little trouble. I'll take Motte's 99mph over Rhodes junk any day.
What I don't understand about this series is that it seems that the Brewers had no idea how to pitch to the Cardinals. And, when what they were doing didn't work, they continued doing it.
I finally turned it off. I can't take it anymore. It was a good year. But RR treating the past two games like they're playing the Pirates in late May didn't turn out well.
After the pujols hr, Narveson should have been pulled after the next baserunner this inning. Instead he was left in to give up another run, and there are 2 runners in scoring position. RR is clearly a terrible manager. unbelievable. edit: now the 2 runs score. wonderful
His plan didn't go too poorly. They are two wins away from the World Series. But, it was predicted early on that they would be one of the worst defensive teams in baseball. They really showed it last night.
We had some early chances, but the Cards also had some chances to put the game away and they couldn't. Basically, the Brewers just got out-managed today. Play your hunches in June, not October.
