  1. JJ has had 14 hits in 13 games. What's so wrong with that?
  2. The good news: The bats woke up. 19 runs in two games. The bad news: The pitching went to Hades. 21 runs in two games.
  3. ouch. lick wounds pain. pain. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  4. The good news is that it is early. Last year's team had a seven game win streak and a seven game losing streak within the first month and a half. After that, no big streaks. Just some clunky, awful losses, followed by a clunky win, followed by another clunky loss and so on... There were some awful, brutal losses (like last night's) late in the season last year that I was just sure would doom the Brewers into a losing funk worthy of Wendy Selig. And yet they kept coming. They 'battled' to an improbable .500 finish. No reason to think they won't keep coming this year. They should play well tonight. I don't expect they'll spend much time under .500 this season, though they probably won't lead the division much either.
  5. By the way, Moeller is now batting .308! Fire Miller! ( http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif )
  6. Here's hoping the bats finally go: http://www.carrmichael.com/id/kaboom.gif
  7. Local radio in Milwaukee or St. Louis. Otherwise, pay $15 and get access to the entire season of every team's games on MLB.com
  8. I'm all for consistent lineups, but with the depth and the talent on this team - especially this early in the season and on a tough road trip - I approve of changing up the lineup. Can't hurt at this point.
  9. I think what would be nice about them scoring 8 runs early in the game would be not having to hope the Brewers come back. They haven't taken the lead first until Monday when Hall homered. Two runs were great, but 8 would have done it and those Cards fans would have gone home unhappy. Oh well. Here's hoping to a feast of runs and not a famine. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. And this thread helps? I agree that sometimes it seems as though moderators can't wait to lock down threads, and that a "majority rules" mentality sometimes steamrolls independant opinions on this board. However, I hate enduring countless repetative boring threads calling for Jenkin's head because he didn't hit for the cycle last inning!
  11. The good news is that FIVE (count them - five) different players are deserving of those kind of honors after yesterday's game. Some are more deserving than others, but GG, JJ, JDLR, Prince, and El Caballo all came through big. Yay.
  12. Do you think Dave Bush looks happy to be a Brewer? http://www.geocities.com/saturdaynightracing/bush.jpg
  13. Hardy's homer went only 377 feet compared to opening day's 405 feet. He's getting worse.
  14. Now that's good thinking! Also good use of homefield advantage.
  15. Anybody doing any play by play? What happened to Koskie? Was he removed from the game? Where was he hit? What happened?
  16. Wise gave up a 10th inning homer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  17. JJ and GG both go deep! I have a feeling JJ is going to explode this year. This spring, he's already batting .370+ with power and defense. A far cry from last spring when he didn't seem to know if his shoulder was going to fall apart. I think 20 homers and gold glove D is within reach for Hardy this year. EDIT: Maybe even 25 homers.
  18. How about because we're paying for it and it isn't broadcasting any games.
  19. Yeah, Turnbow abandoned the other side of the rubber for the familiar approach. But I'm more nervous about Sheets and -say- Kolb right now than I am about Turnbow.
  20. Ask and ye shall receive. Next time, don't ask.
