  1. My plans will all depend on the game times. As of right now, I plan on just driving up with Beeks and leaving at the end of the tourny. Juddy, you are more than welcome to ride with us. Razzzor, did they give you a illegal bat list? I saw they used USSA rules and I have a bat that is illegal in ASA and should be legal in USSA but I just want to make sure.
  2. I would probably prefer Reyes and Cabrera as well unless you have Hanley Ramirez already. Also keep in mind that as of right now, Cabrera will only be 1B eligible next season with most standard settings.
  3. I have a Mr. 3000 bobblehead I am looking to sell. It is in fair condition. The head may have been glued back on at some point, there is a very small chip just under his belt in the paint only, and there are some very light color markings of some sort. It sounds a lot worse than it is and I can send pictures to anyone interested. I bought it on here for $35 but would take an offer on it. It does not have the box. I also have a few broken bobbleheads I will just give to anyone that wants them. Just pay for shipping or come pick them up in Menomonee Falls. Josh Beckett Kane County Cougers minor league bobblehead that is broken at the wrist on his glove hand. It is a very easy fix for anyone that knows how to paint these. It has a box but I only have the bottom part of the foam piece and not the top. Dave Krynzel Huntsvill Stars - It was broken off at his elbow on his glove arm. I have already glued it back together and sanded it down so it looks nice, but I can't get a color to match the rest of his skin. It is currently painted but it doesn't match and the paint I used is too glossy. I'm pretty sure I have the box for it still, but can't guarantee it.
  4. If this does happen, I would probably be interested in getting a ball signed and maybe a 8x10.
  5. The chip will probably decrease the value a little bit, but if it's not that bad I don't think it will make a huge difference. It would also probably depend on who signs it too. If it was signed by Braun people might be a little more picky than compared to a less popular player. I would suggest goo gone as well. That stuff can take that sticky adhesive off anything and is pretty safe to use on just about anything. I've even had it remove a mark made by a sharpie off a bat. You can find it at most hardware stores, Target, Walmart, and I think Walgreens.
  6. Looks like we have 4 or 5 guys. Me, Rad, Nullbyte, Baldkin maybe Beeks. Tim, can your bro or dad make it? Would you guys want to get a little bp in with as little as 4-5 guys? Maybe we can hit somewhere around Tosa or West Allis since I think most of us live in that general area.
  7. I haven't had or seen anything worthy of mentioning this season. I haven't slid into a base yet so I don't have a raspberry on my leg yet. It happens every year so now that I'm talking about it, I'm sure it will happen next game. A couple years ago I saw a guy dislocate his knee rounding first. It was the worst thing I ever saw in person and it made a loud popping noise that I could hear about 50 yards away. 4 years ago I dislocated a finger in two places sliding into second base head first. When it happened, it felt like I just stubbed it and I didn't even notice until I went to brush the dust off my shorts and I couldn't move that finger. It took me a full year before it stopped hurting and I had full movement back in it.
  8. I'd rather have Mauer and Morneau easily. I think it basically comes down to the fact that Mauer plays catcher and Braun plays LF.
  9. That was a pretty bad game, but we (myself included) gotta do a better job of keeping our heads in the game. We pretty much gave up before the 2nd out in the first inning. If you strikeout, misplay a ball, throw one away, ect. you just gotta shake it off and get the next one. I almost feel that once one or two guys get down on themselves, that it then becomes contagious. Pretty soon everyone on the team is playing like crap and before you know it the score is 40-5. If we ever have a bad game like this again let's work on staying positive and having fun. Hell, we could even try to make it a closer game rather than worrying about the fact that they are still taking extra bases or saying stupid things or the fact that some other team was on the field when they hit their 20th HR. That team is probably the best team in the league, but there is no way they should beat us that bad. I have no idea what the final score was, but if someone told me it was 40-5, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm pretty sure we did have 5 though. Anyone up for some practice this Saturday?
  10. I don't think it's worth it either. I had it for a year and I barely even used it.
  11. Hey, I sent a PM back a few days ago. I take it you didn't get it? I'll send another right after I send this message.
  12. It wasn't me but if you can't find him, what do you want for it?
  13. I would take Utley in that deal no matter what type of league it was. Sorry, I just noticed that was posted a week ago.
  14. I pretty much agree with everything lcbj68c said. I first met Happy the same time he did, and I know there is no chance he would ever knock a kid over for a ball. He also didn't ask for all that stuff. As lcbj68c mentioned, they showed him on SportsCenter saying he wanted a Hanley Ramirez bat. All that other stuff was brought up after they turned him down for the Hanely Ramirez bat, and even some of the things I've seen listed are false. Does it really make him a jerk for asking for a Hanely Ramirez bat? He was obviously willing to negotiate by taking a Coghlan bat so it's not like he was being unreasonable or even being disrespectful for that matter. You guys are all rushing to judgement and you have only heard one side of the story. People are even spreading lies that he is knocking over kids at games.
  15. He originally asked for two bats. A Ramirez bat and a Coglan bat. On SportsCenter, they interviewed him, and that is exactly what he said he was going to ask for. They told him that they weren't going to give him the Ramirez bat so he asked for a signed ball or tickets. The tickets were for a Marlins game in Florida, not New York. He wasn't asking for all this stuff right off the start, they kept negotiating for a while and over time all those items were mentioned. I don't think it was too unreasonable to ask for two bats, or one bat and a couple tickets to a park that never has fans anyways.
  16. On SportsCenter (or maybe it was FSN), they asked Happy what he wanted for the ball and he said a bat from Hanely and Coghlan. None of that other stuff was mentioned at that point. Even if he asked for all that other stuff, it wouldn't have cost Coghlan anything. A photo takes 20 seconds, they have hundreds of balls laying around for him to sign, and I'm sure the Marlins could find a couple open seats to give Happy some tickets. The ball belonged to Happy so he didn't even have to give it to Coghlan. The guy makes enough money that he can afford two bats.
  17. Are we going to have enough guys?
  18. I've had it once. I always see advertising for it at gas stations but they never have it. There was nothing special about the taste, it was a pretty basic lemonade.
  19. I think the final was 11-7. Pretty good game by both teams. I agree with Razzor though, we can beat that team.
  20. I'll probably be there around 6:45. It would be nice to get a few swings in before the game.
  21. My guess: Right to left front row:George Scott, Eduardo Rodriguez, Robin Yount, Hank Aaron, Jim Slaton Left to Right 2nd row: Mike Hegan, Harvey Kuenn, umpire?, Bob Uecker(on ground) It's hard to tell if that is an umpire or a catcher with the face mask on his head, but I would assume an ump since he has a finger in his face.
