  1. Carlos, please take a few pitches. Talk about a guy who refuses to work the count. "Well that game was a big bowl of crap."-Brian
  2. Rooter, it's OK to take a pitch or two, really. When does the next bus leave for Nashville? "Well that game was a big bowl of crap." - Brian
  3. Goodness, Helms is batting over .300, trade him now, don't wait for the next inning http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif "Well that game was a big bowl of crap." - Brian
  4. looks like Doug has been giving bunting lessons to the Reds. "Well that game was a big bowl of crap" - Brian
  5. I am not asking for Oh No to give the kind of pitching performance that he gave last time that he was up, that would probably be asking too much. If he can just keep the ball down and let his fielders do the work I thing we are due to put at least 5 runs on the board, but I have been wrong before. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  6. And thank you very much for swinging at the first pitch and giving the Brew a much needed victory. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  7. You're preaching to the choir...do you really trust either of those two guys doing anything other than pinch running or bunting? "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  8. You have to be careful with pitch counts...a complete game is nice but I can't help but think all those times that Baker has left Prior and Wood in with pitch counts of 120+ It definitely adds up and although nobody will admit it, possibly can lead to arm problems. We don't want to lose any of our front 3 on the rotation. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  9. I am not sure I agree with you...the choice between listening in Spanish or listening to those two dolts who do the Brewers game. I am not 100% sure they are even watching the game sometimes. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  10. Unfortunately everybody else refuses to heat up. This guy seems to be working up in the strike zone a little...I will be very disappointed if we don't put one over the wall soon. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  11. Don't worry Carlos, Butch is proud of you. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  12. Weeks looked pretty bad in that AB, he needs to show he can lay off those pitches or he's going to be a Jose Hernandez "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  13. Brady, it's OK to take a pitch or two, it really is. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  14. Nice AB by Helms followed by a stinker by Moeller. Guess he just wants to get home. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  15. It was a walk, how was he supposed to get to third? "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  16. Did I just see Bill Hall draw a walk or am I starting to get delusional again? Anyone got an attendance? "grab brew, don't cost nuthin"
  17. That my friends, was huge. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  18. "Have to wake up bats!" Wynegar give these guys some bench pointers will yah? "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  19. Hitting coach = fired. Other team's pitchers are hitting home runs, our catch sqaure around properly to move a runner over. Nice. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  20. Brady is getting Podsednikitis lately. I don't want my leadoff guy swing for the fences, coincidingly his OBP appears to be dropping. He Brady just do what got you the leadoff spot in the first place. It the other guys' job to hit the ball over the fence. You are supposed to work the pitch count! "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  21. Schmidt has been pitching well as of late, but so has Ben. I am always happy with the speed at which Ben works and his ability to NOT WALK players. Since Schmidt is a a quality pitcher in my mind, I would expect the Brewers to beat him. Now if it was someone with control problems or a no name pitcher we would probably get shut out. I just hope they wake up and can salvage a split of this series. There will be a lot of fans at tonights game so it is very important that the Brewers try to look like a major league team at least. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  22. It's a concern because most of these players are supposed to be hitting by the time they get here. Oh-oh here comes the Brewers hitting coach...let's give these rookies some "Major League Tips." "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  23. I would normally disagree with you, but you might have a valid point or two. I definitely think that the pruning may need to start with Wynegar. I have given the guy the benefit of the doubt for a long time...I don't care what Yosty thinks. Swinging at the first pitch rarely yields results, usually a whiff or a pop up. When you are ahead in the count 3-0 you don't swing at the next pitch...the bat should not leave your shoulder. Plate discipline is killing some of these players. Bottom line is whatever Wynegar is getting these guys to do it is NOT WORKING. I don't care how much prep there is, I don't care how much work he puts in bottom line is there are not results, and it is show...it's a glaring weekness. Oh yeah and we give up lot of unearned runs, other than everything is fine. "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  24. Like I said before Carlos, it's OK to take a pitch or two...that was tough to watch. San Fran is not good... "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
  25. BB strikes again, when will or pitchers learn? "grab a brew, don't cost nuthin"
