  1. I think they were waiting for the Cincy series to try and bring Segura back for a full game.
  2. I'm no expert but isn't this when you bring in Hart? Not that I want him in, but isn't that playing the numbers?
  3. Benny really had a lot of miles on his arm early in his career. For many of those years he was one of the few bright spots on some rather horrible teams. That mileage although I can't prove it would seem like they accelerated to a worn out arm. Therefore not that I feel bad for the guy, because he obviously has made some money, but can not wish him any ill will. For anyone to call him injury prone is ignoring his early years with the Crew.
  4. I ran into DD at Kennedy's on Jefferson and Wells St. a few years back. I was out with a couple buddies and he was with a couple guys and a few broads. He was real approachable and we had a few laughs. My buddy offered to buy him a shot which he declined. We did the shots in turn.
  5. Maybe this is a stupid question but can Crisp lead off?
  6. If one of the main points of bio-mechanics is injury prevention and trying to correct throwing flaws i can see the benefit to minor league pitchers such as Jeffress and Rogers. I mean even if the Brewers don't replace their current pitchers is it possible to make them worse? He may have something for Parra who seems to be missing that final piece to the puzzle although it's likely in his head. It would be likely some of these guys in the minors would benefit even if only in spring training.
  7. this is a joke they need to just release the list of al the players instead of targeting a select few http://www.rotoinfo.com/read_article.php?articleId=380
  8. Maybe I am not seeing this like everybody else, but Hall still has value as a SS. Platooning him or benching him lower his value. Gamel can get a little instruction from Randolph who appears to have had a positive impact on Weeks, all the better. Those contract dollars allocated to Hall could mean a few arby dollars somewhere down the line for someone else. Check the kids AB's if he's ready put him after the trade deadline and ship off Hall.
  9. I know this has now become a debate involving Spahn and Banks, and maybe this will get laughed at, but are we to assume Capuano is done pitching? I really don't know what his status is. If that's for another topic I apologize.
  10. Cue the picture of the muscle at the house party.
  11. Thing is Yost deliberately chose to not shorten the rotation when Sabathia should have pitched against the Phillies. He would have been murder on a mostly left handed hitting team and the Crew's best option. It backfired and sent the team into a spin. I am honestly happier than a pig in slop right now.
  12. That's what I am talking about, let's get the big guy rolling. How about stop coughing up runs?
  13. Phillies putting down the throttle. Try not to throw anything to Howard, please?
  14. Moyer is pitching on 3 days rest for the first time in 2 years. Lets hope he gets screwed up. That's got to be tough at his age. I know he is a MLB pitcher, but still.
  15. Dear Brewers, stop tanking!! Is it sad that a little part of me wants the Brewers to miss the playoffs just so Ned is gone? The only thing that scares me is that he may just take Melvin with him.
  16. Glad we got that over with. Now we can go back to wondering if the Crew is going to score any runs tonight.
  17. Think this would be a good start for Ben to break out of this little mini funk he has been in since the all star break. He obviously had some good stuff working against the chubs, but the collapse was just as bad. A solid 7 would be nice. Campillo appears to be a nice little pitcher for the Braves as well. Get em Crew.
  18. Would I be asking too much if the Crew could get at least this much production from Hall and Cameron for the rest of the year? Average a hit per game (bat .250)? That would be huge, I think.
  19. Hall vs. Harden http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif I was thinking about that as well. The Crew could top 40 K's for the series. Could be ugly.
  20. Darn, and I was hoping for a hat trick for Hall as well. Honestly can we quit the Hall vs righties experiment Phase II?
  21. Wow Braun rung up three times tonight. Trying to carry the team on your back will only make things worse. Roll with it.
  22. Bad news though when Blanco starts getting in on the action.
  23. Time to put everything in perspective guys. Did the Cardinals proclaim that the season was over after getting swept by the Crew (I don't know maybe they did)? Pick up and move on, the Crew has a lighter schedule than most of the inner league foes. Just make em back up.
