Yeah, I do not wanna see us trade Hardy for Jarod Washburn, that would be terrible. Also, I like Washburn I have actually been hunting with him. But lets not get carried away here. Yes he is pitching in the AL, but he has been pitching in the AL West, in Seattle a very very freindly pitchers park.

We got a all star LF for Pods. I don't know what more we could of got for him by trading him the year before. We got the Braves number one pitching prospect for Kolb. Yes, the braves number one pitching prospect for Dan freakin Kolb. Not much more you could ask for there. -
Im not exactly sure if I would like the Brewers to trade for Halladay. I just wanted to jump in here and remind people, that the difference between playoff contender and WS contender is very very small. All you have to do is get in, the playoffs are a crap shoot.

Alot of projection's had Lopez at around a .360 OBP this year, so to say he is hitting over is head probably is not all true.

The point is the Brewers were 4 GB in the WC standings on July 28th. We had Jeff C playing everyday at 3rd, which he couldnt do. Melvin got a piece that was suppose to help us with that year. I belive he also traded for Tony G. for JDLR that year as well.

The Brewers until Sept. 1st, after this series against Cincy. 3 vs. ATL 4 vs. WSH 3 @ SD 3 @ LA 3 @ HOU 3 vs. SD 3 vs. HOU 3 @ PIT 4 @ WSH 3 vs. CIN 3 vs. PIT Besides the LA series. This would be the time for the Brewers to go on a run if they have it in them. We are only 2.5/3 games back. Its not like we are 8 games back. Doug Melvin has shown in the past if we are close he will go get a guy that can help the team right now (David Bell). I really don't see us selling at all.

Are we slashing payroll? You gotta jump out of the 90s man. We're not a bottom feeder anymore. I'm thinking a great place to invest that $10 million would be in a proven SS thats a few wins better than Escobar, and wouldn't require a multi-year contract.Why not just stick with Hardy then? I don't belive spending 10 million dollars on a shortstop when we have Hardy and Escobar would be a really smart idea.
