  1. I know! I don't really care, but it totally ruined 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle' for me though! Neil Patrick Harris as 'himself' was the best part of that movie...well, that or Freakshow. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. The Fecal Rampage - this has been my old 'stand-by' since college when a night of PBR and Korbel Brandy inspired our intramural football team name.
  3. OK, it must not have changed much then. I saw it in a store and thought it said there were 10 or 15 minutes more. When I was watching the theatrical release I thought they did a decent job of building a little suspense or change the feel, then nothing...really, really disappointing.
  4. Has anyone seen the unrated version of Pathfinder? I like Karl Urban as an actor and thought the premise of the movie had the makings for a great action movie. I saw it in the theater and was disappointed, so I'm wondering if the unrated version makes it better.
  5. I can't believe that no one has said Bob Dylan yet. I saw him in Green Bay in 2001. Just thoroughly entertaining. He's the walking embodiment of music. Played for two straight hours...no break.
  6. About a year ago I went to the Golf Galaxy in Oshkosh and ordered a Ping G5 offset 9 degree driver with a Graffalloy stiff shaft (blue). I bought it for $250 + $10 s/h. I had been using a Cleveland Launcher 460 10.5 degree with a stiff shaft...I liked the Cleveland just fine, but with my swing speed (110 mph) I needed a lower loft and opted for the offset in the Ping to aid myself in hitting a more consistent draw. The Ping is the best club I have ever owned. I added a consistent 10-15 yards on my drive and improved my ability to 'work' the ball. My buddy has the TaylorMade r7 425 and set his up for draw, he loves his. He bought his in Oshkosh as well. He paid $350 and they threw in a r7 3-wood. Great deals in Oshkosh.
  7. Having played since I was five through a couple of years ago at varying levels, there are a ton of things I can say, but the following quote from Buck Weaver in "Eight Men Out" (IMO, the best baseball movie ever made) says it all. When I watch now, I remember exactly what he was talking about. "You get out there, and the stands are full and everybody's cheerin'. It's like everybody in the world come to see you. And inside of that there's the players, they're yakkin' it up. The pitcher throws and you look for that pill... suddenly there's nothing else in the ballpark but you and it. Sometimes, when you feel right, there's a groove there, and the bat just eases into it and meets that ball. When the bat meets that ball and you feel that ball just give, you know it's going to go a long way. Damn, if you don't feel like you're going to live forever. " I'm not afraid to admit that I get chills when I read this and my eyes well a bit.
  8. Would somebody please give me an idea of what kind of pitcher he is? (velocity, pitches, command, etc.) I see he's a big boy, and a lefty with nice looking numbers at West Virginia. Thanks guys.
  9. Krull Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson is sooo underrated) Rat Race (The Lovitz scene where he burned his tongue alone is worth rewatching it, that or the term 'prairie-dogging it.') An American Werewolf in Paris That Thing You Do Hellboy I, Robot Elektra ( I heart Jennifer Garner, now she's been Affleked, completely traumatized to this day)
  10. I'll take a shot at this: Brats, beer and onions From boiling pot to the grill Good life on a bun Be nice now, I haven't written a haiku since my junior year in high school.

  12. I picked up Unknown on Saturday night. I too was left wanting much more. To me this was a waste of an incredible cast. JC was strong and Pepper was pretty good too, but overall the movie was lacking. Not a terrible movie, just disappointing with the cast and the comparisons that I had read to The Usual Suspects, it fell way short of that.
  13. bump to keep it on the first page
  14. Jet Li's "Fearless" I really enjoyed this flick. It's not as flashy as the usual stuff that's coming from Hong Kong these days, but the story is just as good (if not better). Yes, it's pretty much a 2 hour advertisement for Jin Wu sports, but I can live with that. Every movie has to be about something, after all. If you like martial arts movies, but don't get into the wirework like what you'll see in Hero and Crouching Tiger, you'll probably like this. RoCo, I too really enjoyed this movie. I've always been a fan of Jet Li and have seen all of his foreign and domestic movies, IMO, this is his best. Great cinematography, good story, amazing martial arts. I watched it in Mandarin with the subtitles on and feel this is the best way to watch the film. Crank I am a fan of Jason Statham, so I bought this film. It is wretched, I found nothing in it redeeming in any way, except for Amy Smart. Beerfest The Broken Lizard Comedy troupe makes me laugh, and their latest movie is no different. Just good fun.
  15. We're discussing Weeks and Kazmir and you're questioning Kazmir's durability? Hmm.
  16. whether or not Gillespie signs, or will he be a Brewer irregardless when the CWS is over?
  17. The Crew gave up Enrique Cruz for this guy?
  18. I'm at work so I don't really have time to perform a search. Would somebody fill me in on where some of the top catching prospects are slotted in the draft and who they are. Thanks in advance.
  19. You mean a Battle Royalle with cheese, right?!? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif
  20. Brian, it was good to have you back over at the ESPN boards for a bit, albeit for a stupid reason. This guy doing this was mostly trying to rip Healer34 (aka Jistheman) and SidVic3. This same bozo has been constantly creating other screen names to do so because he keeps getting banned. It's very unfortunate that he has chosen this new tactic. The site you run is incredible and the vast majority of us Brewer fans appreciate it. You and your team must keep up the good work. Thanks and feel free to stop by ESPN once in a great while, we could use some levity. The artist formerly known as FmBucky1
  21. Question on Ryan's BFnet profile. Why aren't his stats updated? As of this morning only his Helena stats were listed. It's not a huge deal, but it'd be a lot easier for those of us that want to just check a certain player to see how they're doing to have it in his profile, rather than having to go over to the official team site or milb.com. Thanks for 'listening' to me. This is a great site, kudos to you guys and keep up the good work.
  22. Not to re-hash last nights blunders, but Bill Hall screwed up three times on the bases that inning. He should have scored on Overbay's double, the runner should always look and see where the OF is lined up so he should have known that Overbay had a double at least instead of holding before running. Secondly, any runner at third should score on a ground ball to the right side, especially one with Bill's speed. Finally, the aforementioned passed ball. It's not the base coach's job to get a real lead-off on the pitch and be awake. Bill is a professional baseball player, he should know better on his own. NO excuse.
  23. Normally I would agree with you, but Francis is a lefty and Russell has not been very good against lefties. At some point, however, you need to put him out there and let him take a whack at a lefty or two.
