  1. I graduated in 2004 and really enjoyed my time there. The only thing to be nervous about would be if you are going to be on the Arts side of the equation. The college is concentrating a lot more on the sciences and vocational majors and no longer emphasizing its roots as a classic bachelor of arts college. There were quite a few of my favorite professors on that side that were denied tenure and had to leave. Beautiful campus though and the neighborhood is nice
  2. The pre-sales already put the crew over the top to 400,000 without selling another ticket
  3. Redd and Charlie V to the Jazz for Brewer, AK47 and a first rounder. Get it done. AK can play the 4 if we are looking to go small and would be the best passer on the team. As a weak side defender, he would bail us out on having Mo getting beat and Brewer fits the mold of what Skiles would look for in a 2 guard. Charlie is a little soft for Jerry Sloan, but the trade would still work out under the cap if we took out Charlie and the 1st rounder
  4. thanks, i just figured out how to look that up. I guess I'd give them up for 20 a piece if you pick them up, 25 if i have to drop them off
  5. I don't know what is fair for them. Is there a way to check what they have gone for on ebay? the top auction is at like 18 bucks plus shipping so probably like 15
  6. I've got two of these from yesterday's game if anyone is interested. I'm not a Molitor fan and my girlfriend doesn't think hers is cute or something. Will take cash or trade, PM me with what you'd have to trade or an offer The only deal is, I dont want to mail anything. I live in Cedarburg, but work in West Bend and am in Milwaukee often. Let me know what works with the offer
  7. Kevin Love looks to me like a more talented Brad Miller which is pretty good. (also happens to be American and a white guy) I dont think anyone on the Knicks is going to tell you how much of a stiff David Lee is. Mike Miller, Dunleavy, Nick Collisen is actually a really good player (near double-double last year) That was a terribly closed-minded statement to make and really shows a lack of depth in basketball knowledge. With the number 8 pick, its beyond unlikely to draft an all star at that pick as well. Rudy Gay, Channing Frye, Rafael Araujo, TJ Ford, Chris Wilcox, Diop, Jamal Crawford, Andre Miller You've got 4 of those guys who are starters, only one of which I would consider a star (Gay) and then a bunch of guys trying to stick in the rotation. To expect Alexander to be an immediate contributor is ridiculous, but I think it's way safer to say he has a really high chance of not working out because he wasn't a top 5 pick.......
  8. This was the only pick Chad Ford hates so far. I dont hate it as I dont like either point guard option. Bayless is a tweener and DJ doesnt play defense. He also showed the ice water in his veins when he airballed a free throw in the tourney in the final seconds.
  9. Westbrook at #4, first i've seen of him there. Bayless very well may be there for the bucks. Another tweener guard
  10. Yi is fine but I think the Bucks realize they can get similar production from Charlie V. They are also in dire need of a push for ticket sales this year and Jefferson will offer excitement
  11. The Bucks just traded Yi and Bobby Simmons to the Nets for Richard Jefferson. Do you have a source? I can't find that anywhere online
  12. Mo Williams, Bobby Simmons, Charlie V, #8 pick and a 2009 top 3 protected first rounder for Shawn Marion and the Heat #2. The Heat pick up the point guard they covet in the back court with Wade, a new starter at the 3 who is young with a reasonable salary, move down 6 spots in what they consider a deep draft. The bucks gain cap flexibility after next year and a cornerstone big man they can build around
  13. I dont really have a problem trading Gamel in a package for CC. I see him as being blocked in the near and long term in the corner outfield spots and have doubts if his defense will ever be to the level it needs to be to hold down an infield spot. We'd get the comp picks for CC after the season and a real shot at making a run this year. Beyond that, Sheets and CC in the front of the rotation would make us tough to knock out if we did make it to the playoffs.
  14. I was refering the the previous post concerning the Heat. I really dont know how you can say that Anthony will never be an elite player. Averaging 25 and 7 from the 3 shooting 49% makes him pretty elite considering he's 24 years old. Any move containing simmons is tough because he adds no value to the team getting him and is a cap liability, one of the worst in basketball actually. He's more likely to be dealt next off season when the years dont look so difficult to swallow.
  15. If anyone has purchased a set of clubs for their wives that arent being used, I'd be interested in buying or bartering for a nice set for the girlfriend. I've got tons of bobbles/autographs I can swap or if someone is looking for an XBOX 360, I'd be willing to swap for a nice set.
  16. I'll be there for the saturday game and then the Wednesday and Thursday games in Phoenix
  17. So they would trade a potential elite 4 and the face of their franchise for a shooting guard who doesnt play defense and the right to draft another shooting guard? They would have hung up before they even finished the sentence. Word is that the Bucks are interested in Haslem after the Heat draft beasley and the trade would be based around Mo Williams. I messed around on the trade machine and the only trade that works would be Mo and Gadz for Haslem, Banks and Alexander Johnson. We'd swap awful contracts in banks and Gadz and gain a tough inside presence. Haslem seems to fit the mold of a guy someone from the Pistons would want down low, but would open up a giant hole at the point
  18. I was at the Jacksonville game on Friday night and saw the nightmare that is Mat Gamel's defense. If he did what he did in the major leagues, the manager would have pulled him mid-inning. The two errors he was charged with were bad enough, but there was also a chopper to third he came forward on, fielded it cleanly and couldnt get the ball out of his glove. He also had a grounder to his left that he muffed, which he was fortunate enough to recover and throw out a slower runner. In all, he had 6 balls hit his way and he cleanly fielded 1 of them, which was a pop up. He may improve, but if the Brewers are going to be in a position to compete, he is probably a guy I see as on the outside looking in.
  19. i just got a call from the office that the river that goes through downtown west bend is over the banks and I should wear clothes I won't mind wading in...........not cool
  20. Endaround, what is your reasoning for Tom Glavine not being a first ballot?
  21. 2 and under doesnt need a ticket and can sit on your lap. 3 and over will need a seat
  22. I was there for the Dunn homer and that was a total crock distance they put out there. I have never seen a ball hit harder. The crowd pretty much gasped when he hit it.
  23. ESPN's rumor central had a spot today that Monta Ellis may force a sign and trade as a restricted free agent. As a starter, he averaged 21 points and 5 assists. There is literally nothing I wouldnt do to make this happen. He even shot 53 percent from the field. I know Al harrington is in the dog house constantly there and his contract is kind of awful. If we took that along with the sign and trade for Ellis, giving up Redd and Villanueva, Ellis could be signed for 10 mill a year which should be close to his market value. I'd even swap first rounders to make this happen. They also fancied Yi last year which could help a deal get made.
  24. different strokes I guess....if you want every time someone scores to be the most important thing in the world, watch soccer The one thing I don't understand is that people rip the NBA for lacking fundamentals, team defense and passing, when woman's basketball offers all of these things and is a total pariah. If that style is what you are looking for, I think the WNBA is still being televised by some cable channel you dont think you get
  25. For the style they are going to try to play in New York, Jeffries isnt a guy they would like to deal. I also believe that unless he stabs someone in front of a news crew, the Nuggets will not deal Melo to anyone. He's the only young guy on the roster to build around with a bunch of old men
