Is there any way to find out the ratings HBO is getting for their shows? I've watched the first two episodes of Tru Blood but dont want to keep watching if its going to get canceled on me right away

Two things happened yesterday that made me feel that the team had quit on Ned and didnt think he could hack it. First, I cant remember the last time a hitting coach was kicked out of the game. There was a tight play in the 149th game of the year and Ned remained stonefaced which led skaalan to take matters into his own hands. That should be Yost showing that kind of fire. Second, the phillies had two guys going on 3 days rest in this series to give them the best chance at taking the series. With CC not wanting to pitch on short rest, its Ned's job to have him on that mound. The inmates dont run the prison. If he didnt go to CC and tell him he was getting the ball, he's an idiot because the season could have been on the line. If he went to him and CC shot him down, Yost didnt have control and needed to be let go

Why does everyone assume Cam wont be back? If he hadnt missed the first 25 games, he'd be top ten in the league in homers and is pulling our outfield defense together. I dont know where we are going to match his production at center this off season for that money

Matt Cain is an absolute dream and if Hardy would be even close to getting him, they need to jump on it. Looking at Cain's birthday being 10-1-1984 makes me feel old but crazy excited at the chance to possibly attain him.

I did 5 at home and 5 on the road so i factored that in as well. The splits worked out to 4-1 at home and 2-3 on the road for the Dream Team. The only thing that is a little bit jaded has to be using D Wade's 07-08 season in the sim because what he was in the olympics was not what he was during the regular season

I just created both teams on What If Sports and it came out with the Dream Team winning 6 games of the 10. I used the season's leading up to the olympics for the ranking and for laettner, i had to use the 92-93 version since he was in college the year before

It was kind of silly that Kidd got as much PT as he did. They should have let Chris Paul have the team and let him run it. he's the best in the league at getting to a spot on the floor and kicking it, which would have destroyed the zone defenses they faced in the gold medal ground. Paul is basically a bigger Isiah Thomas so he would have certainly held his own against stockton

Nostalgia is great but I really believe that everyone is completely underestimating how incredible this year's team is. It would have been an incredible game. Im not a D Wade fan but the way that he played in these Olympics was Jordanesque. Bryant isnt as far behind Jordan as people seem to believe. Bird was a season past being the player that he truly was in his prime. This game would be a war. If they played 10 games, maybe the 92 team would win 6

Well, looks like its a done deal. If Ridnour can return to his 06 form, he's be a solid guy to share minutes at the point. The inclusion of Mason was puzzling. Adrian Griffen and Joe Smith become the tough defensive players that can come in off the bench to start developing that defensive culture they are looking for. That being said, this deal is entirely underwhelming.

Just a few that are off the top of my head AJ Burnett Triple Play for PS2- His combination of the 99 MPH heat and the insane offspeed stuff he had made him a threat to no hit you every time he went up. I've seen it happen once Any Knuckleballer on Triple Play as well- Waiting on the knuckler was impossible enough but they gave Steve Sparks an 88 mph fastball which put him over the top. Before the changes though, you almost couldnt compete against a Mcnabb or Vick. Randy Moss- 2 deep defenses stand no chance against this guy Talking about lurching in Techmo, no one could top Jerry Ball. He was the best nose tackle in the game and could end a game on his own. Lurching is also the most illegal move in video game history. Craig Hayward was completely unstoppable on a Bo Jackson level as well. His hitting power was always 100 and his speed was no slouch. I would disagree with Bo Jackson being the most dominant athlete in video game history. Randall Cunningham was easily better. There was no defense for anything he did. While everyone who played video games knows "The Bo Jackson Play", they also know what it means to be "Cunninghamed"

Aggressive drivers are easily my number one. There is no good reason not to leave a reasonable distance between two cars. Unless you are on the way to the hospital with a life and death emergency, there is no reason to be tailgating anyone. It's dangerous and stupid and there is never any reason to do it

I would think the biggest concern would be the production of Fukudome right now. His OBP, BA and SLG% has dropped every month and he has been in an awful slump in July. Without a lot of history to back him up, one has to think if he will be able to adjust to the changes pitchers are making against him right now
