  1. The point is that people would have blamed the loss on Yost no matter what he did. It's not about whether keeping Tavarez in was the right move. Like I said before, maybe you wouldn't have blamed it on Yost if he did bring Mota in and he blew it, but someone would have.
  2. The fact that Tavarez wasn't sharp THE PREVIOUS INNING should have trumped the fact that Mota hasn't been sharp lately. Tavarez couldn't even get through the bottom half of the Twins' bad order. How was he going to get through Mauer and Morneau? I'm not standing up for him saying it was the right move to keep Tavarez in, i'm saying no matter who was pitching it would have been blamed on Yost, not necessarily by you, but you better believe there would have been other people complaining about Yost if Mota blew it.
  3. Even the best players in baseball will/can not perform well every single time. It's up to the manager to detect this and make changes accordingly to minimize the damage. There was no evidence of Ned doing that when he left Tavarez out there while he promptly loaded the bases. Mota has been bad his last few outings. If he came in and blew it there would be plenty of people saying "Ned should know that Mota hasn't been sharp lately, this is on him."
  4. At least pretend like it isn't terrible and bring in someone for the pitcher who's getting his clock cleaned out on the mound. It's not like anyone in the pen could've been any worse than Tavarez; no harm in taking the chance that one of them might be better. But if Yost brings in Mota to start the inning and he blows up you know for sure there would be people on here complaining about Ned putting Mota in. People were going to blame it on him no matter what. In the end it comes down to the players performing.
  5. The bullpen is terrible so it's obviously Ned's fault.
  6. This place is going to explode with 3TO love.
  7. And the 3 worst possible hitters are coming to the plate.
  8. Why does the defense turn into little league quality every 9th inning?
  9. Vina basically said the Brewers are starting to hit better and have decent pitching so they aren't out of it yet. Said they will be able to add pieces at the deadline and to watch out for them due to the Pujols/Soriano injuries.
  10. I think the Brewers are going to strike out 325 times today.
  11. I'm glad to see the retaliation only if Berkman gets out.
  12. Braun hit a HR last year where he just slowly walked towards first right after he hit it, wasn't that against the Astros?
  13. "Melvin squashed this over on Haudricourt's blog. Oh well." That's what we should expect him to say. He's not going to come out and say he wants to acquire Roberts.
  14. It's physically impossible for the Brewers to win in Colorado.
  15. I might just be satisfied if the Brewers score a run in the series.
  16. The Brewers website says the second game is on FSN.
  17. I love it, the majority of the time i've just been in free mode with a buddy and we just do random stuff like racing helicopters, jumping off tall buildings, getting in shootouts with the Cops, shooting down their helicopters, basically destroying the city. I'm not bored with that yet.
  18. Anyone have any sleepwalking stories? I used to sleep walk a couple times a week probably when I was around 10 and I would always pee in this big plant my mom had, or I would try to go downstairs to pee even though there was no bathroom. My parents had to start sleeping in the living room to hope to catch me and take me to the bathroom before I could destroy plants and carpet, or fall down the stairs, or bake a cake from scratch. I'm 23 now and don't sleep walk anymore but I have heard that often times it comes back later in life.
  19. I no longer remember any of my dreams. Sometimes I can remember them right when I wake up but every minute that passes I lose more of it. When I was in grade school though I had a dream about killer bees that was too be continued, and then the next night it said Part 2 and I was trying to get away from bees that could break through buildings again.
  20. Will this actually not be blacked out on Fox?
  21. This brings absolutely nothing to the table in this discussion but I traded Corey Hart and Jeff Suppan for Tim Lincecum in MLB 2k8 and immediately moved Laporta to Milwaukee. Would anyone want the Brewers to do this is real life? Edit: I just read the rest of the thread and you guys pretty much already discussed it.
