  1. Yep, I was intrigued, looked at his profile and...
  2. Rosenthal says its done.
  3. If all trade details had to sent to MLB by 3 wouldn't this have been reported as done by now?
  4. Yes, just came here to post this. As long as the price isn't too great for a platoon type player he would go a long way to balancing the lineup against lefties.
  5. I'm not sure I get all the people amazed over the package the Pirates gave up. Aren't both of those guys fading top prospects with the pitcher pretty close to be a disappointment already? What am I missing here?
  6. Hey, if you can't get pitching, just hit a bunch of dingers.
  7. Losing 5 in a row to the Pirates might have also caused us to lose out on Archer.
  8. I think the Pirates should go away.
  9. Well unless he declines the option, the Brewers would have to pay the $1M buyout. In effect, the Brewers decision making will be using $9M as his cost for 2019. If he continues to pitch as he has this year, through the end of the year, and fits into the clubhouse - it would be a pretty hard decision to let him go. I still would not do it. If my math is correct they are paying the current bullpen about $11M total. So, almost double the bullpen budget to add one more pitcher? No thanks. I'm not sure why that amount for 1 year matters to any fan. It's not coming out of your pocket and there's likely no opportunity cost for that type of deal.
  10. http://albethke.blogspot.com/That blog gave me cancer.
  11. Overall trading Smith, Lucroy, Jeffress for (according to Pipeline) #21, #63, #65, plus Susac. All 3 prospects will probably fall in the top 5 for the Brewers. I'll take it, especially after the vetoed trade. Two big time pitching prospects, what everyone wanted, and a potential 30-30 CF. Great day.
  12. Confirmation Gallo would be centerpiece.

  14. I'm sure they'll be back in in 15 minutes.
  15. Mets refuse to go away, I think they are just trying to distract the Brewers until the deadline passes. To make us hate them even more.
  16. Thank you Will Smith for not opting for surgery.
  17. If this return is for real, they must trade every reliever on the team and in the minors.
  18. I hope the focus on Lucroy is not keeping them from fully exploring the reliever market.
  19. So Lucroy had a 'no comment' when asked if his no trade clause was in play today. Makes me think it has to be the Indians or he would have just said 'no'.
  20. No new info here but an article from The Ringer this morning calling Lucroy the prize of the deadline https://theringer.com/jonathan-lucroy-mlb-trade-deadline-b26666ed6bc#.yrkgt0x9w
  21. I'm assuming the 'retirement celebration gift giving ceremony thing' will be the first game of the series, May 9th, correct? Or would they do it Sunday for the last game?
  22. Nice work OP! Love the signing.
  23. http://brewernation.mlblogs.com/2014/01/23/hot-stove-report-brewers-reportedly-closing-in-on-free-agent-starting-pitcher/
  24. Aaron Nagler ‏@Aaron_Nagler 1m Sounds like Matt Garza is your mystery Brewers free agency target. We'll see.
