    Does anyone have any idea when he will be forced to serve the suspension? It's quite ridiculous that it has been over a month since his appeal to the suspension has been announced and nothing more has come of it. It certainly would be nice to see him serve a 5 gamer, which hopefully would cool down the cubs.

    Is there a possibility Carlos V is being stretched out to replace bush in the rotation? Makes sense in my mind...especially now that there is a very similar pitcher to Villanueva in the bullpen in Gallardo. Any thoughts?

    Yost has done this a few times lately...leaving villanueva in during a lopsided game. I really dont understand his logic behind this, now villanueva is certainly not available tomorrow and possibly not wednesday. After villa pitched the bottom of the 6th and we scored 7 in the top of the 7th, he should of been pulled from the game.

    We are going to have quite the problem next year deciding on a starting rotation. (if we dont make any signficant trades) In my mind...Villanueva absolutly has to be in the rotation.

    Mench is terrible. After he came over last year from the Rangers he was horrible and ever since the first 3 weeks this year he has been horrible. He needs to go. hmm apparently i didnt get the memo.

    Im not sure about all you others, but after seeing turnbow's first few pitches that inning i wasnt scared. This year atleast..it seems as if he totally has it and good command or he has nothing, but no inbetween. Maybe Yost should start using an even shorter leash on him on nights it seems he doesnt have it....but i suppose that could destroy his confidence. haha, no wonder why garner kept jennings in so long..

    I don't believe that was the case because in the 7th inning he was up in the bullpen....

    Carlos Villanueva? To me, there's absolutly no reason he was not in the game after Cordero in the 9th. Then again, Yost hasnt personally lost too many games lately so maybe he's just attempting to change that back to normal.

    How fast is his changeup that the rock keeps talking about? Looked to me like nothing but fastballs and curveballs in the thus far.

    lost 20 of 30, closer has blown his last 2 save chances (one being totally ridiculous and rarely ever seen....2 outs, 2 strikes, up 3 runs and nobody on) and now the victims of a no hitter. This has to be as bad as it gets...right? How are we possibly still in first place?

    and I'm sorry but you can't convince me that Yost should have predicted that Aquino would do what he hasn't done all season, at that precise moment. He hasn't done all season? I know he has let inherited runners score on atleast one occasion and if I'm not mistaken this is the 3rd time it has happened. As of right now, he looks like a guy thats much more composed when he comes in to start an inning vs. a high pressure situation. So being that he has already let inherited runners score, Ned should have at the very least, had someone up behind him (t-bow)

    For that to happen, you'd have to have double switched out Weeks, Hardy, Hall, or Prince. Why? #1 he could have double switched and brought in graffy if it was that important. #2 (more onorthadox) Why not just let turnbow bat? Its no different than every single time ben sheets bats, actually i take that back...its probably better than when sheets bats. With the way T-bow and Cordero are working right now, we wouldn't of needed anything more than our 1 run lead anyway. I suppose it's all easy to talk about now after the fact but Yost has had a ton of questionable in game moves the past couple of years. I know it would never happen, but I think we would be better off with Maddux calling all the shots when it comes to bullpen moves (I guess i really actually dont know how much imput he does have currently). That being said....Cappellan should be up for Dessens

    Turnbow has pitched once in the last 5 days, why couldnt he work 1.1? As its already clear to all of us, Aquino works much better if hes coming into a game with the bases empty. Even after he makes the poor decision to bring in Aquino in a high pressure situation, how the hell does he NOT get up tbow or dessens behind him? Especially after he gave up the game tying run. All that said, nice job by Shouse making Jr and Dunn look foolish.

    4-3 in the last 7 and 2 of the 3 losses come from our staff 'ace'. I suppose this can be looked at as a good thing....shows that we can win when big ben isnt on the hill but it sure would be nice if sheets becomes dominant like he should be. If sheets can put up numbers anywhere near that 2.7 ERA from 2004, I think we'll be playoff bound.....lets just hope he can bounce back strong after 2 ugly starts. Again..ugly defense, ugly on the bases...prince getting picked off first was about the worst possible move he could have made..im angry and cant wait for tomorrow night

Ben's first 2 fast balls were borderline high and on any other batter, may have been called strikes. Its kind of hard to pitch to Pujols when the only way to get a strike is to split the plate in half. Side note.....funny how the cards didnt have trouble with week's popup, doesnt look to be that windy.

    here we go again...the last 5 times we have reached .500..it has followed with a loss. 24-24, 55-55, 56-56, 72-72, 73-73.....lets hope 77-77 doesnt get added to this list, i was at the badger game yesterday.....but getting constant updates from my friend who was at the brewer game, after the big W(for both teams) me and my friend were walking around the streets of madison yelling 'brewers win'.........FYI...if we win again, cards will have their longest losing streak of the year...

    at 6-2.....i bet about 1% of brewer nation thought we even had a chance tonight....i know i thought it was over, damn near turned the radio off at work i was so mad...but then i remembered how unbelievably resilient this team is...and sure enough, came right back with the 4 spot. I know im getting ahead of myself, but this sure seems like the kind of W we need to finally turn the corner and get hot for the final stretch.....but im probably just a fool because we've seen this all year long, beat the staff ace....and then make joe shmoe look like cy young, and all of you bill hall doubters out there....there is NO rational explanation as to why bill hall doesnt start 3rd next year...he was brought up extremely premature 3 years ago....the kid is only 25.
