  1. I was at one of the first series ever at the HHH. Brewers @ Twins in 1982. I was going to school just across the border at UW-River Falls. It was bright and shiny back then, a novelty. Now, everybody seems to trash it. I've seen plenty of Badger/Gopher games there. Many times it was 70 degrees outside, but there was a few ugly weather days where you were glad to be inside. I can hardly believe that the Twins are now going all outdoors, all the time. Have you ever been in Minnesota in April and May, especially at night. Bring your snowmobile suits, Twinkie fans. Anyway, I would love to go to the Brewers game up there this year just to say that I was at their opening series there, and also the closing one. We'll see. It's on a crappy weekend where everyone will be on the road. Have you seen those Minnesota people drive?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. Too bad for you first shifters. My third shift hours have finally paid off!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Just short again. Hit the ball on the ground, please.
  4. Shoulder strain from throwing to the plate to keep the run from scoring. It just keeps getting worse.
  5. Parra had more total bases than the team going into the 9th. Nice hitting Brewers! I guess good pitching still beats good hitting.
  6. Yes, he's 4-0 at home. I didn't realize that until you pointed it out. I hope I don't hex him by coming to the game.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  7. Dave Bush? Oh well, Slowey sounds just as awful. I hope Billy lights up against him, he needs a confidence boost. I will be making my way down early through the flooded countryside. Hopefully 41 south is open by now. I guess that's why I'm leaving early, in case of a flood.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. I think most of you have left out the fact that Lou Pinella is a good manager, and will not let up on his team. He obviously has the talent, but he knows what to do with that talent. On the other side, we have Ned. What more do I have to say?
  9. Billy Hall has done everything asked of him on this team and he is getting pooped on(can I say that?). He is one of the top athletes on the team, if not the best. He is struggling against righties, but isn't half the team? Give him a break. I would hate to see him go, that's for sure. He is just frustrated now that he is getting plattooned w/ Branyan, and hopefully that get's him more motivated to do well. If I had to make a decision though on trading Hardy or Hall, it would have to be Hall. He's going to turn into a distraction for this team, and that's not what is needed right now. The teams focus should be on playing well enough to stay in the race.
  10. That's exactly what Ueck speculated on the broadcast.
  11. Oh, I would think it partly Yost induced. Bases juiced in the 6th and you're batting the pitcher? Get a brain Nedley. He's gotten 6 great innings from Parra, but you still have to play for more runs. Also, is Gagne your closer or not?
  12. Move Hart to leadoff and Weeks to 7th or 8th and get rid of that stupid pitcher in the 8th spot strategy.
  13. Forget it. I'm going for a bike ride and deal w/ the carnage later.
  14. This bullpen sucks! The Brewers will have to score 10 runs to win this one. I would like to see the stats this year compared to last year as far as pitching in the late innings. It can't be too good.
