I think Rickie needs to go on the DL more! Seriously, his wrist must have really been bothering him, because he is spanking the ball today. I hope Ned can keep him healthy, because wow, what a #8 hitter he would be!
Yeah, Brewcrew, I was thinking the same thing. We are still winning in the top of the 9th, right? All that matters is that you have the lead at the end of the game.
I said in the predict Yo's start thread "I'm gonna say 6 2/3 innings, 1 walk, 4 hits, 8 strikeouts. 1 earned run" Not too shabby of a prognostication! Off by 1/3 of an inning, a couple of walks, a few strikeouts and an earned run.
Yo pitched extremely well for his first start. I wasn't sure if he should have been in the pen or rotation right off the bat, but he did great tonight. He definitely deserves a few more starts.
Yo is good! I wasn't sure if it was better for him in the rotation or the bullpen. At this point, I think the rotation is where he should be. However, that was only one start. He needs a few more opportunities and if he can keep it up, he's in in my book.
It seems that the team's approach at the plate is improving. They're being patient, taking the ball the other way, and seeing the ball well. I think Boof may be a bit tougher than Baker, but I have a good feeling about this game.
By the way, Jet, the Miller radio ads are pretty bad too. I think what makes the breakdancing guy so bad is they play it every 3rd commercial. The radio ad they take a gravelly voiced white guy and turn him into this silky smooth Billy Dee Williams type.
Did anyone expect last year when Geoff was slumping that he would be with the team this year, let alone doing this well? I'm a big Jenkins guy, but I didn't think so. I'm glad he's still here.
