  1. Happy to hear the items are starting to arrive. Bernie....I have no idea how the Musial ball yellowed like that that way; it was never in direct sun light, never got moisture on it...I have a Killebrew ball that's the same way.
  2. Hey all.... Just a note to let you know everything mailed out today. Once again, sorry it took so long.
  3. My sincerest apologies to those of you I am supposed to me mailing these items to; between work and some social obligations, I have been remiss in my duties. And, of course, Monday being Opening Day, I am fairly well obligated. Let's shoot for Tuesday for mailing these items out. Forgive my tardiness.
  4. BHF... No, sorry I didn't get it. But I have one comic left, and it's yours. Try to PM me again with the address I should mail it to.
  5. Thanks for the kind words guys, but unnecessary. It's my pleasure to spread some Brewer cheer around. I take plenty from this site in information alone. I apologize I haven't been able to mail any items yet, been swamped with work. I should be able to get the stuff out on Wednesday or Thursday. And remember, still a couple of autographed Sheets/Lee comic available. Other stuff to come, I hope. Thanks for the three beer offer Blazer!
  6. Thanks everyone. Most everything is gone; I do still have a couple signed comic books left if anyone is interested. I tried PM'ing everyone but reached my limit for the day and my ezsupporter benefits haven't kicked in yet. Here's how it shook out: 1) Musial - berniebrewer4life 2) Weeks Beckett - Blazer25 3) Garner Ball - Peavey Fury 4) Miller Ball - bigjase 5) Bill/Daron bobble - mattsr0625 6) Sheets/Lee comic - jnorman76, 20Fry Thus ends this giveaway. I'll continue to clean-up and see what else I come across.
  7. Doing a little cleaning out today and came across some stuff I no longer want, need, or have extras; seems like a good day to give stuff away if anyone wants it. 1) Stan Musial signed baseball; the ball got some funky yellow coloration over the past couple years, but the signature in still very readable. I got this signed in person about 15 years ago. 2) Beckett Baseball Monthy, February 2004, Rickie Weeks cover, signed in black marker by Rickie. Great condition. 3) Phil Garner autographed baseball. 4) Damien Miller autographed baseball. 5) Darren & Bill Buckethead Brigade bobblehead set, in box. 6) I also have a few Brewers B-Force Comic books from last season, cover signed by Carlos Lee and Ben Sheets. If anyone is interested in any of this stuff, let me know. Just one item per person please. And I hope -- but have no control -- that you keep these things for your own collection. If multiple people want the same item, well, I'll just wing it and establish my own criteria
  8. We built these spaces for displaying memorabilia when we finished the basement; they've just sort of evolved into this look and display method based on some of the themed exhibits I saw at the Baseball Hall of Fame. But mainly, the cluttered look just suits me, because it's easy.
  9. BHF... I purchased the Ruth & Gehrig a couple of years ago; I wish they had been in the family!
  10. Well, that didn't work...guess I better figure out how to post photos.... edit: got it!
  11. I've enjoyed seeing everyone's collection and thought I would add some of mine own. Some Brewers, mostly baseball history. This is the Yount display (bat, jersey from 96 when he coached a few games, ball). http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/rbrandtjen/1.jpg Babe Ruth signed magazine. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/rbrandtjen/2.jpg Lou Gehrig signed Time. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/rbrandtjen/3.jpg All kinds of stuff: hall of fame baseballs (Dickey, 33 Reds, Waner, Gehringer, etc), old ads, Uecker signed bobblehead, cards, pictures. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s220/rbrandtjen/4.jpg
  12. So, I come home from a nice dinner of Spiedini and two bottles of wine to see that Hendrickson gave up 6 in the first and Bonds tied the Babe. Neither of these surprise me, but both have taken the edge of the food/wine buzz and made me sad. Such is baseball and life.
  13. Enjoy, Mark. My guess is the tickets for these games are probably in one of their party suites that hold about 30 people, down the left field line. I've been in these a couple times. Very nice.
  14. Mark.. As part of our season tickets package this year we also get 8 suite tickets (2 per season ticket). It was a nice little touch by the Brewers. Plus we got $100 in stadium money for food/drink. But the best was that they dropped the Club Level ticket price from $32 to $25, lowering our season ticket package by over $2,200. I know some people don't like the view from the Club level, but we're in the first row, so it's not too bad. And I love the wide seats, food service, bar, and no lines in the bathroom.
  15. Ah, love Tivo. Rewind, slow it down and Weeks was safe.
