  1. I’ve rented a number of 20-person suites for single games. I’d plan on adding a little extra food, depending on your group. We usually order a couple pizza’s and something else. You could get by on the food they provide, but we’ve found it a little light. No additional fees or taxes, except for tipping your server.
  2. I've got a Preferred Parking pass going unused today I'll sell for cost - $25 - if anyone needs parking and can pick up in Menomonee Falls area. PM if interested.
  3. I got to meet Killebrew briefly a few years ago. In 2008 I was putting together a 50th anniversary video for the parents of a friend of mine. His dad, whom I was very close to, was a huge baseball fan and we had spent many hours discussing the old greats of the game. I was in Cooperstown for the HOF Induction ceremony and decided to see if I could get a couple of the guys to say "Happy 50th Anniversary Bob and Donna" on video. I was nervous as heck to ask these legends, but I really wanted to include their greetings if possible to make the video more special. I did this by buying an autograph ticket and getting in line. Well, long story short, I got Killebrew, Feller, Doerr and "Shotgun" Skuba (my friend's dad grew up a Brooklyn fan) to all give personalized greetings and congratulations for the video. Each was more gracious than the next and Killebrew did a couple takes to get what he wanted to say out. Needless to say, my friend's dad was blown away by the greeting from his baseball heroes. He passed away suddenly five months later. And now Feller and Killebrew are gone also. RIP to all of them.
  4. Sorry, the McLain has already been spoken for.
  5. Going to Baltimore August 4-8 for the National Sports Collectors Convention. As part of the packages I bought I get some autograph tickets for guys I don't really need or want. But if I can find the time, I'd gladly get the autographs if there's anyone here that wants something signed by any of these guys: Scott McGregor Denny McLain Rick Dempsey Al Bumbry Ken Singleton Michael McCrary (Ravens) Mike Flanagan Paul Blair Ozzie Newsome Benny Ayala Andy Etchebarren Calvin Murphy (NBA) Mike Boddicker Lydell Mitchell (Colts) Mark Mosely (Redskins) I only get one of each, and I'm not sure I can get 'em all (I don't necessarily want to spend all my time in autograph lines). But if there's someone one of your really wants shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do. No charge obviously; I'd just rather not all these tickets go to waste.
  6. One of the joys of being self-employed, is I can change my schedule farily easy. If no takers by 11:00 a.m., I'll just give them away at the ball park.
  7. Sorry for the extremely late notice, but I've got 5 Club Level seats and a parking pass available for today's game vs. Rockies, 12:10 p.m. start. You'd need to pick them up in Menomonee Falls. Interested, please reply.
  8. We have a winner....obsessedwithbrewcrew. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send you directions to get the tix.
  9. And the winner is....theavrock. PM me your email and I'll send directions to pick-up.
  10. Two tickets in section 114 and a parking pass for the 6/11 game. Must be able to pick up in Menomonee Falls. Random drawing for those that reply.
  11. I've got two Club seats for the 6/10 game. Must be able to pick up in Menomonee Falls. I'll do a random drawing this afteroon for those interested.
  12. That's the kind of story that gets me mad, pretendastronaut; I've had that happen to me to...but, what are you going to do? It's pretty rare and doesn't deter me from giving tickets away. Today's story had a much happier ending, in the long line of people waiting to buy tickets to the game today, we found a father and his young son and handed them the tickets. Turns out he pulled his son out of school for a little father/son time; so they were thrilled to get to sit three rows behind the dugout.
  13. Well, it was worth a shot. I'm heading out, so I'll just give 'em away to someone in line to buy tickets at the park.
  14. Sorry for the very late notice, but just found out I have two extra, behind the Brewers dugout. Great seats, if you can pick them up in Menomonee Falls soon.
  15. Man, this week just keeps getting worse. His is still the voice I hear when I think of baseball as a kid. About 10 years ago I was able to spend a few hours fishing on Lake Michigan with Merle Harmon as part of the Uecker Make a Wish fishing event. One of the more memorable times of my life; what a gracious and pleasant man he was. God Bless, Merle.
  16. I'm very tired and was watching spordically while I worked; is there nothing better we could do down by one run with a runner on than Kendall and Counsell?
  17. Is anyone else finding this Jeff Tweedy of Wilco interview awkward? I just want it to end.
  18. Was she screaming obscenities at it? (of course relative to a 5 yr. old's ability to do such a thing) Well, she snapped the head off in a temper tantrum -- due, I'm sure to her belief that she was being mis-parented -- so, there was, no doubt, her equivalent of obscenities involved.
  19. He haunts you in every manner. If it's any consolation, the only reason I didn't have three Ned Yost mini bobbles to giveaway is because my 5-year old daughter snapped the head off one of them. I hope this helps.
  20. FTJ, I'm waiting for the Suppan bobble to implement your suggestion.

  22. He was my first ever autograph, in the summer of 1974. I can still remember handing my glove over the rail near home plate at County Stadium, and him signing it in blue ink vertically on the outside of one of the finger stalls. Since it was my only glove -- and I used it almost everyday -- I tried my hardest not to mar that beautiful Eddie Rodriquez signature. To no avail, as it scuffed and faded until it was barely visible and finally just a faint impression was left by the time I tossed it a couple years later. Alas, such is the fate of our childhood heroes. RIP, Eddie.
  23. Whoops, I forgot to get this one started...thanks logan. I have only one resolution this year, to try and enjoy baseball like I did when I was 10 years old...when I knew nothing of payrolls or steriods or Scott Boras. When thoughts of the playoffs were neither a dream nor a worry (this was 1974), I just lived for each individual game and it's own unique storyline. This is my resolution. Wish me luck.
  24. Happy Opening Day - or opening day - depending how you feel about it (Ball Four reference alert). Cleaning out the closets, drawers and cabinets as is my annual spring rite. And if it isn't out on display, it's outta the house. While I love Goodwill and their mission, these items might have more value to my fellow Brewerfan.netters. Here's what I have this year for any interested parties. As usual, put in a claim and I'll use a combination random drawing/gut instinct selection process. I'll pay for the shipping, but if it works out that anyone can pick up or meet at a ballgame, that's even better. Here's what I have (more might be added over the next couple days): 2007 Ted Simmons bobble - white, no box 2007 Gorman Thomas bobble, blue 2008 Prince Fielder bobble Barrell Man bobble, no box 3 - 2008 Year In Review DVDs Damien Miller bobble, no box Carlos Lee bobble, no box 2005 Ned Yost (yikes!) mini bobble 2005 Doug Davis mini bobble 2004 Beckett Magazine - Weeks cover, Weeks autographed Ben Sheets autographed baseball Donald Driver autographed softball from his annual charity game Fergie Jenkins autographed baseball (faded and bleeding -- not too pretty, but still readable) Judy Johnson autographed 3x5 card I'll leave this open for a few days, probably Saturday.
