  1. Yea that sure came in handy. Now lets make sure it doesn't matter if they get a run or two and seperate ourselves!
  2. How does Looper look? Sans the home run on the radio it sounds like he is doing pretty darn well.
  3. I was impressed with both pitchers for the T-Rats last night. Scarpetta started off a little slow and looked nervous, but really settled down and was completely overmatching the Quad City hitters. As for the hitters, not much excitement there, but they played better defense then Quad Cities, that's why they won. Lawrie made a couple nice plays and looks to be pretty comfortable out there at 2nd, which is a good thing.
  4. I'll be there as well. If the weather is nice enough I'll be in my Sounds jersey. Can't wait!
  5. Here we go now BREW-HA! I'm ready for this summer long party to get started. Who's grilling Johnsonville Brats? To add, I really like that Hart is batting second. I think JJ could actually protect Fielder well and his speed will be welcome if he gets on base in front of Braun on Fielder to give the defense something else to think about. Hardy just didn't do that.
  6. MLB Radio yesterday was saying Braun was gonna play left today. I agree, hope he's 100%.
  7. Ichiro Bobble would be very cool! Thanks!
  8. Very cool of you to do John Brew, I'll toss my name in for the Weeks bobble.
  9. I agree that it's been really fun to watch this year. I am really getting into seeing these other teams besides the ones full of MLB players and seeing what they can do. It appears that the game globally is getting closer and closer to the same level. Can't wait for maybe 8 years from now when the game will be even closer and these games should all be really competitive. Great stuff!
  10. I'll continue the best I can from work. 11. It's up on mlbnetwork.com http://mlbnetwork.mlb.com...o.jsp?mid=200901283780604
  12. Classy post by a very classy man. Jim you will be missed, not only buy us the fans, but I'm sure by Ueck as well. I'[ve enjoyed every minute that I listened to you, I will be sure to tune my XM radio to Braves broadcasts this year. Enjoy your trip home!
  13. I know it's kind of out there, but what if the Crew flips Weeks and puts Gamel at 2nd. He wouldn't be the first player to go from 3rd to 2nd, Kent and Utley come to mind as playeres that changed those positions when they got to the majors. Anyone else think that is an option?
  14. Just heard on MLB Radio on XM that Dunn to Milwaukee is no longer an option. MLB TR just posted it up as well. http://www.mlbtraderumors...9/01/brewers-no-long.html
  15. Now I'm really mad at Dish: MLB Network is going all out in its first month of operation, saying Tuesday that it will air the Ken Burns documentary "Baseball." The Emmy-winning nine-part series on the history of baseball from the 1800s to the early 1990s first aired on PBS in 1994 to high ratings. It has aired occasionally on PBS since. MLB Network, which goes live New Year's Day in 50 million households, will air one part at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through January and February. It begins Jan. 6, following the nightly hourlong "Hot Stove Report" of baseball news. The documentary will include special commentary recorded by Burns, MLB Network said. The "Baseball" announcement is another of a series of programming acquisitions by the network. On its first night, the channel will introduce itself with an hourlong "Hot Stove Report" and then televise the 1956 World Series perfect game by Don Larsen of the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers. It will be the first time that the broadcast, which was saved on kinescope by a collector, will be aired -- including the original commercials -- since it was on live. The telecast begins in the second inning.
  16. Sounds more and more like Dish will not have it at launch come the first of next month. I keep emailing Dish asking about it, but they keep deferring to their stance on not talking about channels when in contract negotiations. Not sure if that's a good sign or not.
  17. Same here, that was an amazing game. The Twins fans standing and cheering and in one instant the crowd shifted to all Brewers fans standing cheering, I heard after the game that Jim thought it was the loudest he had ever heard MP. Great at bat by 3TO, good times!
  18. I know it truly doesn't relate to his real world value, but I had him in Fantasy this past season and by the second month of the season traded for A-Rod because I couldn't site daily and flip around my lineup for when Atkins was at home and when he was away, just too much work. That experience leads me to not want him on the Brewers, just don't know truly what you are going to get for a whole season away from Colorado.
  19. For Dish Network Subscribers: I emailed the customer service asking if we are getting the MLB Network. Here is the main portion of their response: Thank you for your response. We understand the issues you have raised. We are currently in negotiations to provide the MLB Network. We are hopeful of reaching an agreement in the near future. So that is looking positive. I am hoping that we get it added to our main package and don't have to upgrade to pay for it.
  20. This showed back up again on MLBTradeRumors.com today saying the Twins are looking into Hardy as an option. Edit:Add link
  21. I am listening to MLB network on XM and they just talked about this. They were mentioning their first thought when the Crew picked up his option was because of a trade, not to retain him. They thought that they Yankees wouldn't even want to give up Melky for Cameron straight up. Ugh, if that's the deal, that is no good.
  22. That would be very interesting indeed. I know he hates being referenced to his father, but if he plays off of his family name for reputation and money, he's just a hypocrite. At this point, if this report is true, I believe he thinks he is worth more because he's a Fielder. I know I am making an assumption, but that is bad news.
