  1. I thought that Houston was a possibility...the largest US market without the NHL. I've not seen Austin in a lot of reports. Is it because it's growing rapidly? As much as I'd like to see a hometown team, we have as much of a chance as Quebec City which, despite what the traditionalists and Canadians want, will be ignored by Bettman. If Quebec somehow gets a team back, they will be the second smallest metro area with a team in the four major North American sports...only larger than Green Bay!
  2. Well, the Avalanche could have at least waited until they were off the ice to dent the Stanley Cup. ?
  3. Well, Colorado is living up to its nickname so far… ?
  4. The Flames vs. Oilers series certainly has started out as a barnburner last night. A 9-6 victory by Calgary with quite a bit of extra-curricular stuff. This looks like must-see TV.
  5. Sorry, eh? ?
  6. I know that there are game 6s tonight, but looking ahead, three game 7s are coming up tomorrow. In my mind, the most compelling matchup is the Bolts vs. the Leafs. Will the dream end for a three-peat for TB, or will the misery of not winning a playoff series since 2004 (and the Cup since 1967) continue for TOR? I'm not a fan of either team, so I say, "Get the popcorn ready!" ?
  7. Connor Ingram had a valiant effort in goal for the Predators. The Avalanche team is just too much of a juggernaut. At least he returns to the Admirals. The Moose won game 3 in Winnipeg, so the Admirals lead in the series is now 2-1.
