  1. Welcome to the second best day of the year behind Opening Day and right in front of pitchers and catchers reporting.
  2. For the iPhone MLB at Bat 2010 app, it looks like they took a step backward in a few areas You got free live video for (out of market) games around halfway through the season. This year, you need to purchase an MLB.tv subscription as well. You need to purchase bothThe upped price is now the same price as traditional Gameday radio access. Last year, the iPhone app was actually less
  3. A lot of it is going to come down to whether he was aware of the potential for flying sausages and their connection to the game experience. There's a surprisingly large amount of law on what a team is liable for with respect to fan injuries. Generally no liability for flying baseballs, but mascots are a different story. Courts have said that mascots are not "integral parts of the game," leading to liability for the team when the distraction they cause leads someone to get hit by a ball.
  4. Thanks for the quick info Hawing. I'll have to find another place of solitude.
  5. Hawing, or anyone else, has there been any word about whether libraries will be open tomorrow? We're already into our finals period, so we need to anchor ourselves to the stacks, rain or shine
  6. There is now a way to wirelessly sync Google Calendar and Contacts with an iPhone/iPod Touch. You can get the information here: http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/sync.html Also of note, the 2009 MLB at Bat app is now out in the App Store. The new addition has access to MLB Gameday Audio and costs $9.99 ($5 cheaper than the internet based MLB Gameday Audio)
  7. I know on iPhone there is a free app called "Fring" that runs Skype and other IM-based messaging services. I have yet to try it though. Only problem is is that I don't believe AT&T has a data only plan for the iPhone.
  8. Hong Kong, dating back to its time as a British colony, is what is called a city-state (at least as far as the olympics and some other things are concerned). They have relative political autonomy due to an agreement between China and the U.K. Edit: Katuluu beat me to it
  9. Can somebody please just find the pictures Kendall has of Yost and post them somewhere. That's the only way Rivera is going to see the field.
  10. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've never had a good experience with customer service from Charter. I actually have gotten through to individuals in the local Charter offices with questions, but they are often just as bad, if not worse, than their foreign counterparts. Hopefully AT&T is on the horizon for Madison.
  11. It does appear to be a problem on Charter's end. I was having problems getting on several specific websites at home. When I came into work at UW, I was able to get every page to load instantly on their network. Yet another reason why I hate Charter.
  12. Madison. Same here. Small world
  13. Also finishing up my first year of law school. Starting to feel like I'm a professional student. Rawbecht, where do you go to school.
  14. I'm sitting in downtown Madison and I definitely felt an aftershock. Lasted a few minutes and was a fairly constant light vibration. Because I slept through the initial quake and then didn't catch the news, I thought I was going crazy.
  15. Another game with Gross in CF. I think he deserves some more starts after yesterdays defensive performance, on top of his hitting.
