  1. Axford has been fantastic this season after a rough start. He seems to have the mental approach needed to be a closer. Congrats Ax!
  2. Well Farris is on his way up according to WSSP. Stay hot Melvin. You should lose your job for mortgaging the future of this entire team if they don't win the World Series.
  3. He better be a great defender, one of the best ever in fact to make up for his pathetic .665 OPS in the minors. Absolutely disgusted with Melvin if Green isn't up and even more disgusted that he must be a PTBNL.
  4. Maybe he's just unaware of how bad the left side of the infield is. If the Brewers were just league average in blown saves they could easily be four games up in first place. Blown holds were a major problem and yes we could easily be in first place if they hadn't happened or Loe was used properly. Having said that, you don't need to stop improving when you have legitimate internal options. I am all for Casey improving but I just don't see it. When you are using Casey's recent so called success to signify improvement, you are reaching.
  5. Taylor Green is 2-2 tonight with 1 HR and 2 RBIs. At this point I really have to think he may be on the PTBNL list. There is no excuse at this point to not at least give him a shot. However, I did also notice that Gamel has a homerun and 2 RBIs. That means that Green won't be successful because the have the same in game stats right now and Gamel didn't have success with inconsistent at bats in the majors this year.
  6. Yes he was, the Indians took Brantley over him in the CC trade. However, given our 3B situation at the break this would be at least a significant blunder in my opinion.
  7. I guess in my eyes I see giving up on him as cutting him. By sending him down you are giving the opportunity to get right while giving the team an opportunity for improvement. It is just like any business, are you going to sacrifice the entire company for one individual? NO!
  8. Gamel wasn't successful with his limited at bats so it probably isn't a good idea to bring Green up.
  9. My first thought to. Hopefully nothing serious, he has value on this team.
  10. Braun has made his impact, get him out of there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Seems like our pitchers have been unlucky this season. Every ball off the end of the bat seems to find !*@$++.
  12. Well this is fun. Seems like it has been a while since we have done something like this.
  13. Works for me. My theory in Melvin wanting to be right could have more to do with me just venting.
  14. Isn't this providing evidence to possibly support my theory? Whether he wants to be right or is too conservative, I think we can both agree that it seems to be an issue and the same issue (holding on to hopes for too long).
