  1. I wont be able to make Sunday's game unfortunately. Would anyone be willing to burn me a copy of the DVD? I am willing to pay shipping. Thanks in advance!

  3. Decent sized crowd tonight. Very anticlimactic reaction to Gonzalez's HR though. Braun Boo-birds out in full effect as expected
  4. Brew City, Was the "My First Brewers game" certificate something you made or purchased somewhere? I would like to do something like that for my son who will be going to his first game at Miller Park on Friday.

  6. Yeah thats true. Yeah, I saw Yount signing, I guess I should of specified "nobody" as in no current player Ive never been a big autograph guy, but I can understand why its getting harder to obtain autos. A few players I know from various teams have basically said its the people who collect tons of autos and sell them and rude fans that ruin it for them. I witnessed this first hand last week at Maryvale. There was presumably a class of 3rd-4th graders at the game (they all had school uniforms on) standing by the tunnel before the game. None of these kids knew who the players were, nor did they even seem to be fans of either team (Brewers or Dbacks), but it just amazed me how rude they were, *demanding* autographs from players. I even heard a couple kids yell at Yount to get his "you know what" back here and sign for us". Long story short the teacher finally comes down to supervise her students (crazy concept) and was upset that the players werent signing for the kids. It took everything in my power to not tell her that her students were being brats, but I refrained. On a positive note though, there was a young couple from WI there who had a handmade sign for their friend who has cancer. They got signatures from players on both teams and Robin took several minutes to talk to them and sign for them and invited them to come back early the next day and he said he would sign things for their friend. Pretty cool gesture I thought.
  7. I didn't see an IGT for today's game but Luc is a triple short of the cycle right now.
  8. Me too hawing! I ordered a Lucroy BP jersey!
  9. Wow, I remember when Matt Stairs was considered a "big" signing for the Crew.

  13. Interesting. For those of you familiar who arent familiar with Scottsdale this is roughly the area north and east of where the TPC PGA golf course is in north Scottsdale. It would be about 5-6 miles north of Salt River Fields
  14. Oh yes he will. Much Much worse things are going to be said to him now. Things that unfortunately will be said around children in the stands as well. It's going to get nasty. Exactly. I was at the St. Patricks game against the Angels and there were chants of "Wheres the Needle" and "Ryan Bonds" etc. This all coming from a team that isnt even a division rival of ours let alone in the same league. I will be going to the Diamondbacks game this afternoon and it will be interesting what kind of reception he gets if he plays today. Overall though, I think he will be fine, he has seen limited ABs so far this spring and watching him take BP, his approach is still pretty much the same and the power is there.
  15. mine were shipped on the 13th and arrived in Phoenix on the 17th. USPS can be hit or miss.
  16. Yesterday was our version of what April baseball would feel like in say..Chicago or Minneapolis. Windy, rainy and cold. On a positive note, the Phoenix area weather guessers finally got a forecast right for once
  17. Looking at a map, Im wondering if I would be best off getting on 894 and taking either National or Greenfield across to the ballpark. It seems a bit out of the way but as I've learned in several years of dealing with the mess that is Phoenix rush hour traffic, its almost less headache to just stick to surface streets to get around anyhow. I would assume the same holds true for Milwaukee?
  18. My tickets were waiting for me in the mail this afternoon when I got back from the Angels/Brewers game! Me being a first time season ticket holder it almost felt like Christmas morning opening up the package. That being said I did the Fans Choice package due to living in Phoenix and the need to group games together to make travel easier. I went with the Loge Outfield Box for my seats and it looks like im mostly in sections 208 and 209. Im ready to get this season going!!!
  19. From what I have observed it seems they are more willing to sign at road games than they are at Maryvale. Yount signed for a good 7-8 min along the first base line before last Thursdays game though.
  20. Silly question, but as this is my first year buying season tickets (20 pack) do the tickets come via USPS or via Fedex? My friend thought it was Fedex but he couldnt remember.
  21. I think my buddy and I are going to attempt to tailgate today if we can get down there early enough.
  22. Living in Phoenix, obviously a good majority of my friends are Diamondbacks fans, and ive heard things ranging from "he cheated thats why we lost the NLDS" to "Im going to go and make it a point to heckle him", to "you guys dont have Prince anymore, so who cares", so I think it will be even more intense this year given the Dbacks loss in the NLDS last year. From what Ive seen/heard during spring training this year, the cheering for him seems to outweigh the booing/heckling. As far as Philadelphia goes, I went to a Brewer game there a few years back wearing Brewer gear and had no issue, there were the typical drunks there but they seemed to attract attention from other drunks. Most of the fans I interacted with just were giving me the typical ribbing that opposing teams get. From what Ive experienced its mostly the Eagles fans that give the city the "hard" image. I didnt dare show my Packers gear there during the Wildcard after I witnessed several fights between fans of both teams.
  23. Just got back from the ballpark, unfortunately I didnt get to watch as much of the game as I was hoping due to chasing a 1 year old around. That being said, there was a pretty good turnout today (6500 i believe). Braun was loudly cheered when he was introduced during the starting lineups but during both his at bats he was heckled (called a cheater/juicer) by several Giants fans - something I think we unfortunately will see alot of this season. Wolf and Lucroy looked pretty good together although Wolf seems like he may have lost a bit of velocity. Morgan almost seemed like he was forcing it at the plate in his first at bat. Im still not completely sold on Gamel at 1st, but im also basing that off a pretty small sample size. There were a couple decent double plays turned during the game though.
