  1. Upton is too cocky for being a relatively young player (much like people said about Braun).
  2. Im at the firehouse today and all the guys on my crew are big Diamondbacks fans...I wont live it down if we lose lol. On another note, anyone having issues getting gameday audio to load?

  4. Granted, I dont live in Milwaukee but just based on what ive seen on jsonline and the WISN websites, it seems the Brewers are getting alot of media coverage. Contrast that with the AZ news, I flipped between the ABC,FOX and independent stations tonight during the 10pm news, and the most the series got was maybe a 3 minute discussion on the independent station. Even if AZ should manage to win tomorrow, I guarantee if they lose in the NLCS, the Dbacks bandwagon will get alot lighter again and they will be back to 19k/game attendance like is the norm.
  5. I dont know whats worse, people telling you to sit down during a key moment in the game, or as I experienced this week, AZ fans infatuated with the wave during key at bats during the game. I will be there in spirit tomorrow as I have to work, but I may just have to take the fire truck out for a victory lap with lights and sirens if we win tomorrow. lol
  6. I do feel a little bit better knowing that RRR has said Greinke would be available out of the pen if needed.
  7. I was thinking this last night after the loss. I wouldn't be too surprised if this happens tomorrow. As poorly as Weeks has been hitting, he can at least take some walks and go deep in the count. As much as I like Rickie, he is batting something like .072 in the playoffs. I wouldnt mind seeing Hairston at 2B and then you have Rickie off the bench if need be. I sort of get the feeling that he hasnt completely healed from his injury yet and probably came back a week or 2 too soon.
  8. Hopefully being at home will right this ship. Personally I blame the grey road uniforms...werent our splits with those uniforms this season pretty bad? That being said,it should be intense there on Friday, and like usual I wouldnt expect to see a big Dbacks showing up there...i saw a whole 2 Dbacks fans last weekend at The Keg.
  9. Absolutely brutal game. We had to exit early to head over to Sliders to sober up and forget about tonight. Let's do work Friday night.
  10. This is a brutal game to be at. As of right now there is no one in the bullpen either.
  11. I'm in section 104 bleachers. Its still not even full after the first pitch. The shirts they gave out tonight were just plain black t shirts. Kinda lame. Lol
  12. Left when the gates opened at 4:30 probably missed you by 3 minutes - are you back tomorrow? I was at Sliders before the game and for a bit after the game. Was wearing the blue Weeks Milwaukee jersey. We will rebound and finish this out tomorrow. Dbacks fans after the game were pretty annoying, acting like they had just won the WS.
  13. There is a pretty nasty dust storm rolling through right now. My flight landed about 5 minutes before it hit the airport. I wonder if this weather will keep some people home tonight. ETA: the I-10 is also closed between Phoenix and Tucson due to a fatal accident and multi car collision
  14. I posted this in another thread, but im currently on a flight out of Minneapolis to Phoenix and there are probably about 6-7 other people with some sort of Brewer gear on this flight besides me. My buddy flew out of Milwaukee this morning and reported seeing quite a few people in Brewers gear as well. Its a promising sign!
  15. I will be there for games 3 and 4, right field bleachers/bullpen area for game 3 and I believe along 1st base line for game 4. Also Kevbo74's comment about the fall league games is spot on!! Cheap games, not crowded at all, and you can meet some future stars!
  16. I made the trip from Phoenix...i was doing the SRO thing yesterday and today i will be in 229 row 20.
  17. A few years ago, I recall reading a message board account from a fan who sat near a woman that complained to a Chase usher about a kid near her making too much noise. The noise made it difficult for her to concentrate on her book. The usher asked the kid's parents to keep him quiet. None of the people who posted replies was surprised; they could all envision that happening.Happened to me this summer during the series in July. I cant recall which game it was, but we were ahead and my buddy and I started the "Lets Go Brewers" chant and got some other Brewer fans to join in with us, long story short this guy went and complained to the usher that we were "cheering too loud and disrupting the fan experience". Really???? I hope that guy doesnt come to Miller Park this weekend, because its going to be loud!
  18. Turns out my friend who was supposed to go with me to the game on Sunday wont be able to go now. So now I am left with an extra ticket in section 229 row 20. PM me with an offer.
  19. I will be attending game 3 and 4 (if needed). I just hope my flight from MSP doesnt get delayed since I am flying back the 4th. I would recommend avoiding Jacksons on 3rd, its really gone downhill as of late and the clientele have become a little more shady as well. Sliders is good, albeit a bit overpriced, but it is literally 300 feet from the ballpark entrance. Also, if you get there early enough and are a fan of Mexican food, I would go check out the TeePee Tap Room, its just south of the ballpark, they have great chips and salsa and their food is pretty good as well. If you are parking down by Chase Field expect to pay around $20 for any of the city owned garages. I would imagine most of the lots around the ballpark will be in the $15-20 range as well.
  20. With an obvious sellout expected this weekend and parking passes hard to come by, does anyone know if the Brewers plan to utilize State Fair Park for the games like they have done in the past for Opening Day? *Mods feel free to move/delete this if this is being discussed somewhere else*
  21. For those of you that are in more central/western WI, I Believe Sun Country still has a $99 each way fare between Minneapolis and Phoenix. Also FWIW, the Dbacks did a ticket lottery this year similar to what Milwaukee has been doing for Opening Day for several years. I "won" the lottery, but then again according to most of my friends they "won" as well too. There are several billboards around town advertising the fact that they have the "cheapest seats in the playoffs". I hope to see plenty of Brewers blue on Tuesday and Wednesday (if nec)
  22. per the MLB website...7:35pm on Sat....at least per http://wap.mlb.com , but when you click on it,it shows TBD...so dont quote me on that yet,
  23. watching the AZ postgame right now, Daron Sutton just announced hes going to be calling the STL/PHL game. Does that mean BA is going to be calling the Brewers game??
