    OK, so I am addicted to the "Weird News" sections of msnbc, AOL, and so on. I thought it would be a good idea to post your funny news stories all in one place (i.e. the BBQ Sauce story).     Yea, the Cards sure are hurting, especially if they drop this one to fall four off the pace. Top of the order coming up here for the Mets in the bottom of the 10th.

    I have long maintained since my time living in St. Louis that their fans aren't all they're cracked up to be. Knowledgeable? Yes, for the most part. But there are equally as many pain in the you know what fans as there are in any other city in the league.

    No way is it too cocky or over the top. It's about time someone shows some attitude out there. It was a huge week for the team, 3 huge home runs against the Cards, I probably would have watched it longer myself!

    I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but figured it was worth mentioning. I saw this in the STL Post-Dispatch today... "Using his 92nd combination in 103 games, La Russa shook and stirred his lineup for Sabathia." One of those things again that Ned was criticized for last year, and has fixed this year. Could this come back around to bit Tony in the long haul?

    Does anyone have his pitch counts from his four starts? I don't think the innings are an issue, but rather how many pitches he's throwing. Can't really check on it at work here, but from memory, he hasn't thrown an alarming amount.

    I do believe Kapler hits Lohse somewhat well. That could be the reason why. edit: Just checked and he's 5-7 with a walk against Lohse.
