Ahh, Iron Mike. Mr. Warmth. 120+ pitches. That was sweet.

Actually, that whole Brewers Classics series was pretty sweet.

 

Does anyone know why the Cardinals were wearing black arm bands in the WS? I didn't hear it explained by the TV crew.

Storming the field was a no-no, but people did it anyways. Oglivie had his wrist hurt when the fans rushed the field in the ALCS.

 

Yes, good to see the classics. But the one I was looking forward to the most was the Yankee game in '81 and they didn't show it.

 

Pro baseball has been around 125 years, yet it's interesting to see how the game has evolved just the last 25 years:

- no pitch counts; just before Yount's homer, the comment that both pitchers are at 180 pitches.

- no LOGGY's yet.
