I'm in. Btw, what's the time of our *next* game? When I checked threads last time looking for gametimes for team #2, I couldn't find them.

Trying to piece together conversations ... Trying to find out where to lay the blame"

I'm not ready to get off my soapbox yet. 2 men, a wheelbarrow, and a rake, can accomplish in 30 minutes what the sun can't account for.

I think additional rain will stay away. However, winds are expected to be out of the SSW at 29 mph. That means, I'm hitting the ball over that little shack in right tonight.

This defensive positioning worked well last week and should be even better with Kenny and Valpo-Matt back at the infield. The thought again for the lineup this week is putting together two sets of four, for the first 8 batters. Two high OBP guys followed by two SLG guys, repeated for 5-8. Then rounding out the bottom two with guys that are capable of getting on as well. Kenny, I know you're busy with the draft. Take a peek if you get a chance.

I drove by the field at 3:20ish after work. No standing water anywhere. Batter's box had been raked, presumably after the hard down pour aroound 1pm. The last two rainbands passed to far to the north and south of Dyer Field. I suspect we will be okay. Here's hoping the recreation director physically inspects the field and just doesnt assume it's bad just because other areas may be bad.
