Speaking of unhealthy obsessions, I think Bill gets butterflies in his stomach whenever he mentions Mike Rivera. We get it Bill, you were a backup catcher. None of us can possibly know how hard the life of a backup catcher is. Ugh.

 

I like early leads, though...nice double for Rivera. Is it just me, or has there been a ton of balls flying over the heads of Braves outfielders? Are they all really that bad at judging the flight of the ball?

Rivera's had some very good offensive years in the minors (.936 OPS in AA in 01, .895 OPS in AAA in 05)

I don't mind strikeouts normally but man he just swings at so much crap. It's incredibly frustrating. He has such great power, if he would learn not to swing at such crap he would be a great hitter.
