Can Durham not play at least a "decent" third base?

I would think Ned would give him at least a game there by now. Not trying to turn this into a third base thread, but does anyone know why Durham can't handle a game a week there. Especially with Rickie starting to play basically every day at second. I know his range is not great, but do you really need much range at third?

He could probably play there if he was given enough practice. I don't think it's a good idea to throw him out there cold. Durham has played 15567 defensive innings in the majors. All but one has been spent at 2B, and he only played 2B in the minors.

 

If there was a weird situation where both Hall and Counsell were injured in the game tonight, Durham would probably be the best option to play there, but I think Yost is happy right now with his CounsHall platoon.

Yeah, I don't think now is the time to start experimenting with players playing new positions. Maybe if they gave him some in BP to see how he looked, but even that's doubtful.

Nothing the SP wants more than a guy at 3B who has never played there.

He's one of the worst defenders in the league at a position he's played his entire professional life. It doesn't seem like a great idea to move him to 3B.

Maybe is an undiscovered genius at the hot corner with his defensive wizardry, alas we will never know.
