Pretty interesting didn't realize it until today, I watched him tonight the judges seem to like this guy. It would be pretty cool IMO if someone from here actually won this show although I'm not a huge fan I know a lot of people are

He was not the only one from Milwaukee. His best friend, Jamar, also made to to Hollywood, but got booted last week.

For some reason, I decided to actually watch American Idol this season. I have to say that the guy from milwaukee is one of the best, if not the best. His friend was also really good and probably should have made it farther.

hi is very talented, but let's not forget AI is a popularity contest, by definition. The best singer doesn't necessarily win. And I seem to be dead wrong most of the time identifying contestants I think people will vote for.

I think the Milwaukee guy's backstory will help him a great deal too. I believe his wife recently died in surgery.

If he hasn't been contacted already, you can bet the farm that the Brewers will be inviting Gokey to sing the national anthem this season.

Update for those who do not watch. Danny Gokey was the leading vote getter for the men and has made it into the top 12 of American Idol. He now has a few weeks off before he has to compete again.
