Trouble in paradise.

 

I called the league we played for last year because I finally felt that we would have enough people for a team. But they informed me that there were no more open spots. So Wick is out. But i looked around and found one in West Allis that is also a friday night league. They are putting it together soon I believe, and the park is called thompson field, which i believe is on 117th and Cleveland. Would anyone have a problem with this?

My dad is in -- he was on the Tue/Thu fall league last year. So that makes.. 8?

That gets us 9 if i can get my roommate to play. I will stop by the parks and rec in west allis to take care of everything then. I am sure that we can get around 3 more people by the start of the season. It is definately one of the fields that the high school plays at, im not sure which team though. That gives me hope that it will be in decent condition. If I dont make it there tomorrow, because of school and rushing home for the game, I teach in West Allis on Wed and can stop there after.

I went to the West Allis Parks and Rec office today and got the paperwork. Non-school district sponsor fee would be $335 plus $12 res player fee or $24 non res player fee. I haven't done this before so I was wondering if that seemed excessive? I have time tomorrow to go back and actually register, I just wasnt sure if this was a good price or not because I have never done this before. $335/12=$28 +12 or 24= a total of $40 or $52. What are your thoughts. Right now signed up we have

Its WA/WM, so congrats. I forgot to mention that the sponsor price also includes softballs, so we dont have to pay for them.

We are going to be practicing with team #1 this saturday, so check out that topic. If you are going, please bring your check then. If not, send me a pm and I will let you know where to send a check to. I have a managers meeting on 4/20, and may get a schedule then. I know they are still trying to get some more teams to join the league. The games are to start on 5/1, perhaps 5/8. Let me know if you have any questions.

I called earlier today and the guy said hes not sure yet, but we should find out for sure later this week. I will post when I hear anything either way. If this doesnt work out, I dont know what other options we would have.
