Craig Counsell A Chicken?

Nice article down here in Florida about Craig Counsell, his nickname as "The Chicken" and a heartwarming story of divine intervention, irregardless if you believe in such a thing. Perhaps there is nothing to comment on to neccesitate bringing a new thread, other to add to the mystique of Craig Counsell. It was briefly touched on during the Marlins/Brewers broadcast, but I think it was the FSN Florida feed, so not sure how many of you got a chance to listen.

I was aware of the Counsell-Donnelly story, and as a result regularly say things like "Come on, Chicken" to myself when Craig Counsell is at bat.

 

However, I did not know that Anibal Sanchez also suffered the loss of a child. That kind of thing is useful to keep in mind when you otherwise want to hate on a player for doing well against your team - helps keep things in perspective. So thanks for sharing, lcbj68c.
