Milwaukee's Pfister Haunted? Players say so...

Posted

This can be considered "new" old news but WISN did a feature on visiting ballplayers reportedly seeing ghosts walk around the hotel. Last season when I was in the Twin Cities for a Brewers-Twins series, I remember reading one of the Twin Cities newspapers with a feature on Carlos Gomez. The Minny/St. Paul reporter asked Gomez if he ever experienced a ghost siting at the Milwaukee Pfister and he said he did experience some paranormal activity while staying there during a road trip.

The only thing I know about the Pfister is its knack for giving visiting teams terrible luck. Two Yankee players arrested, a brawl between two Pirates pitchers leading one to the DL and I recall reading about a brawl involving the Yankees (Reggie Jackson part of it?) in the late 70's or early 80's.

A few years ago I worked on a large project at the Pfister, upgrading their wireless internet system for guests. I have seen a lot of creepy scary back areas of the hotel. Never a ghost though.

It wasn't haunted enough for us to win the series against the Twins last year. I believe we lost that series 1-2 at Miller Park. Maybe they were so relieved to get to the ballpark that it helped their play. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

i worked at the hilton during my college days and have heard similar stories from night managers and other 3rd shift workers.
If I remember correctly, it was room 1732 at the Hilton that's haunted. I think an elderly woman passed away in her sleep in that room, and every once in a while, you would hear strange noises coming from the room when nobody was staying there.

i don't remember the room number but there is a haunted room. I remember hearing stories from workers late at night of hearing noises with noone around in the ball rooms and in various hallways.

I used to work there, too. My fellow 3rd shift security co-workers would tell me stories. I worked a few 3rd shifts, but I never heard any noises. Of course, them 3rd shifters are kind of a goofy bunch. I think it's because they never see daylight.
