  1. I doubt Vaughn is back next season (if it exists). I'll assume that Burke, Adams, or even Fischer will be manning 1st base. I don't have an issue with him filling in at first for now with Bauers getting most of the starts.
  2. Luke Adams call-up? He does has 21 games at 3rd this season.
  3. If the deal was Pena / Williams or Adamczewski / and a guy like Frias or Ragsdale, I would have been fine with it. I am glad they kept Henderson. That offer also though easily beats what the Dodgers gave up. That being said I think the Tigers tried to do well and send Skubal to his desired destination which I have no issue with but is organizational mismanagement To be honest, I did lose a lot of respect for him with how he handled the WBC. He clearly was not going to be a workhorse like CC was while he was in the same situation. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. .
  4. From McCalvey's article, it appears the Brewers were willing to offer better prospects than the Dodgers, but not give up a young controllable arm. If Henderson was the player that caused the Brewers to not get Skubal, then I am OK with all of it. If it was Gasser or Sproat, I think they should have done it (I don't think one of those 2 get it done though).
  5. I"m scared to see the return for Senzatela
  6. He did have 2 bad starts late June / early july. I guess I didn't realize his last have been pretty good.
  7. OK, i admittingly wasn't following his starts after i dropped him on Fantasy, but he went 2 innings in late june and .2 innings July 3rd. I do see his last starts were fine.
  8. There was a few week stretch May was Amazing, but last few starts weren't good.
  9. The only good part of this is that the SP market is set. I think if the Brewers want to get a guy like Mize, the Tigers know the cost is a drop down from the Skubal trade.
  10. I am in no way an expert on the dodgers farm system, but that seems to be much more than what the Dodgers gave up.
  11. The Brewers played the draft perfectly. While national media rated the Brewers to have the worst draft because they reached on Ebel, they used that underslot deal to get some talent later like Sawyer and Garcia. Honestly, if the order was just reversed in rounds 1 and 2, nobody would have had a problem with what they did. You can't grade first round picks in MLB like you do in NBA or NFL because salaries are not slotted based on draft position.
  12. Yes I am not certain if its anything or not. Mondays are off days for all of the minor leaguers so if someone is scratched tomorrow, that would be the tell.
  13. Someone on X says its Made
  14. From what I saw, everything that had to be accomplished for the summer league team was. The 3 players that I cared about (Bogi, Ament and Burries). As a bonus and on a selfish note, Kam Jones did play well enough to warrant his 2 way contract.
  15. I didn't realize that the season finale was actually the season finale on July 3rd. I haven't seen a firm premiere date for season 2, but I can't wait. They really left us with a cliff hanger.
  16. from what I have been told the Joe Smith punishment was because the terms of the "agreement" was written down. I would agree with you that unless there is a paper trail it will be hard to have anything against the Bucks.
  17. I don't think they are playing this schedule so I don't see why anyone would analyze it too much. I hope they do, but we all know its unlikely.
  18. You can't take much from Summer League but it looks like our 2 picks are pretty solid and Bogi had his moments. I guess thats the best you can ask for.
  19. NBA looking into Trent signing. I think paying that salary out is punishment enough. But I will not be happy if the bucks made a wink wink deal to try to make a run last season, which just caused us to get into a horrible deal while loosing additional draft compensation.
  20. After thinking about this, there are many here that do not want the brewers to make a splash and give up elite prospects. I do not share that concern, but with limits. This was a way to get someone who MAY be able to help without paying a huge price prospect or salary wise and they may have someone that can help for the next few years if the Brewers can make a few adjustments on him.
  21. Is it fair to say that if the Brewers traded random 21 year old low A undrafted player batting .233 in this deal and his last name wasn't Fielder you wouldn't be as mad.
  22. So to be honest, if the move is that we purchased a prospect by taking on 7 million dollars in salary, I won't be too happy if that limits what they can do over the next 3 weeks trade wise. Yes, its possible that Gordon can be turned around but at this point he appears to be a AAAA player. I liked the move initially assuming that Houston was going to pay some / most of his remaining salary.
  23. it would be the brewers are paying his full remaining salary, they would still have to give up something.
  24. He won't be stashed on the DL, he is making rehab starts. This is not taking Jordan Montgomery to get Shelby Miller.
