  1. I think its pretty simple. If he says he will sign the extension, you keep him. If he can't / won't commit you have to move him for the best you can get. Its no different than what Matt Arnold deals with every year with all pending free agents. I would rather have a few first round picks than 1 more year of Giannis.
  2. I would think it would be flip him for more picks / players. He has said he doesn't want to be traded here.
  3. I know he hasn't had the best success with reporting on the Giannis saga but here you go: https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/286194/Giannis-Antetokounmpo-Will-Be-Traded-To-Celtics-Or-Heat-No-Other-Teams-Involved
  4. honestly, any package the bucks accept will be viewed as crap. no team can give equal value without gutting the team and all future assets. Honestly, unless they get another lottery pick and can trade into the top 5, its a loser trade.
  5. I'm glad he is. Lets get him healthy and he can replace Woodruff next season when he is gone. The sad part is that the brewers waited so long to make this decision he will miss some of 2027 which was unnecessary.
  6. 1 week to go. Its hard to make any predictions until we see if Giannis gets traded. The 2 scenerios that I do like is that the bucks / Celtics / clippers make a 3 way trade and the bucks get 5 to take Acuff, or Giannis is moved to the heat for a package that includes 13 and 10/13 are moved to get as high of a pick as possible. if the Bucks stay at 10 the 2 guys I like are Karim Lopez or Lendoburg.
  7. The history of #12 for the Milwaukee Brewers features a rotating cast of players, primarily serving as a utility or role-player number. Outfielder John Briggs (1971–1975) and utility man Martin Maldonado (2011–2016) are among the most notable https://medium.com/brewernation/milwaukee-brewers-uniform-number-history-12-7a97b4fd3ea ick
  8. He will wear 12
  9. Marquette back in Lunardi's first offseason bracketology, albeit in in the playin games. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2027-march-madness-men-field-predictions
  10. This is why I want surgery now: During an MLB lockout, players are prohibited from using official team facilities, receiving medical evaluations from team trainers, or having any contact with team coaches and staff. They must train on their own, use independent gyms, or utilize union-provided training facilities https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-lockout-what-is-and-isnt-allowed-to-happen-during-baseballs-work-stoppage/
  11. His rehab has been paused again. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/06/brewers-pause-quinn-priesters-rehab-assignment.html I think at this point, surgery is the best option. I care more about his long term health and that he is ready for 2027 (if there is a season), rather than trying to get him ready for the playoff run.
  12. The Shuckers have Eduardo Garcia playing the lions share at 3rd. I think Fischer does have a clear path to promotion, unlike some of the other T-Rats where the depth of the system isn't working in their favor.
  13. isn't that what Brewerfanatic is for...... That being said, yes this thread has gotten out of hand. I think she does have a right to be upset, but at the same point she needs to understand that this is where pro sports are going.
  14. The thing is that some fans / companies WANT this. The Bucks sellout the BMO club every game and tickets are much more expensive than what the Brewers are charging for a similar experience. It sucks for fans that just want awesome seats and do not need any amenities, but the market dictates how teams act.
  15. An area like this is pretty standard around professional sports and I am surprised that the Brewers took so long to do so. While this is a big money maker for the team, it does mean that the best seats will be used to entertain business clients rather than go to fans. Amy is correct that this is a move not for the fans. Since from what I can tell, she is not worried about all inclusive food options while watching the game or hanging out her a private club during the game, and just wants to watch the game and keep score, I can see how she would be upset.
  16. I think the move is as simple as DFA'ing Perkins and Rengifo for Pratt and Lara. We don't need to mess with Frelik or Mitchell.
  17. Honestly, this is a wining deal for the Brewers. Even if Lara struggles in MLB, it doesn't really set the team back. Also at worst in Milwaukee he will be a solid defensive late inning replacement. I think he will much better than that. but at about 4.5 million per year, this is a risk worth taking for the Brewers.
  18. I don't think it's unreasonable for the Brewers, after they get the Pratt extension done, to approach Lara and see if he'd be interested in a similar deal.
  19. I agree with you, but I think players know that is on the table so taking these deals is even more riskier than in the past because you can get PAID a year or 2 earlier. I do get why they take the money, since its guaranteed generational wealth if not wasted with no production yet in MLB to back up that paycheck.
  20. He was effective in April. He doesn't walk people. He doesn't strike out people. I do think that there is a chance that Hook can make an adjustment and get him squared away. But he was in the system twice in 2024 already.
  21. in system rankings, Pratt is 4 and Lara is 5. As I just posted, I wouldn't be surprised if its identical or a hair less.
  22. I agree an extension makes the most sense with Sweet saying he should be in the lineup tomorrow. Would be good news and I would imagine its less or the same as Pratt's.
  23. Trade? Call-up? Extension? I think the latter based on his comments.
  24. The Priester news is more significant that the trade. As i expected, it looks like 2026 may be done for him.
