The Red Sox DFA'd Mark Kotsay today. I wonder if Melvin would look at picking up Kotsay to improve the bench since Gerut really isn't seeing much playing time.

Meh. I think if we dump Gerut that we should give somebody from Nashville a shot to see if we might have something. Katin, JB, or Iribarren. Give one of them 100 ab's or so and maybe we unearth a starter for next year.

I'd rather have Gerut than pretty much anyone on the waiver wire at this point. He's our only insurance against a Cameron injury/non-signing.
