Anyone going to see District 9 tomorrow?

I was thinking of going to my first movie this summer and seeing District 9 all of the other movies so far this summer have been meh and haven't really interested me all that much. I'm hoping this will be a good movie unlike Terminator and others like it that I have read reviews of.

Does anyone know when the Wolverine movie will be coming out on DVD?

So far District 9 has been getting absolutely awesome reviews. It's got a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

How long has it been since the last great original sci-fi flick? Equilibrium, maybe? The Matrix? They don't come out with many good ones anymore.

I don't know if they are running the same promotions for this movie where you all are as they are here in LA, but the billboards and ads here are stupid. They all have a white background with a caricature of an alien with the red circle and line through (i.e. "No aliens") and say something like, "Non-humans not allowed on the bench" with small print below that says "Be ware of non-human secretions". The billboards are similar, they revolve around "This is a non-human zone". It reminds me of the guerilla ad campaign a few years back for that Cartoon Network show where they had this little robot sticking up its middle finger.

Basically the ads are making the movie seem like a comedy, but the trailers are completely different. Not a good marketing strategy if you ask me.

My brother raves about "Sunshine", from 2007. I haven't gotten around to seeing it but he loves it.

saw it last night. Awesome.

I disagree about the sequel, though, I think the mean to leave the loose ends loose. Or at least I hope so.

Saw it on Sunday. Really enjoyed the totally different approach to aliens it took. It was enterprisingly gory and I did not expect it to be filmed the way it was.
