Brewers' Charities 5K Run/Walk

Has anyone ever done this? I enjoy running a 5K here and there, and a ticket voucher for a game would be a pretty solid reward for running 3 miles.

 

If you have done it, is it like a race at all or do people just kind of run at whatever pace they want.

Did this one last year. Just like any other race/walk. You get to run through the stadium. Trophies are pretty cool (racing sausage trophies). I'll try to get one this year.

My wife and I are also participating...this is our first time! Sweet that will be cool to get to go onto the field and not get arrested!

I'm doing this for sure, coming up from Chicago so I'll probably get a hotel room for Friday night so I don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to make it up there on time.

So did the race this morning and had a blast turned a much better time than i did in the Bastille Days. I finished today in 24 mintues and 7 seconds. How did the others who participated do in the 5K run?

I have done this race the past few years, not officially racing, but just walking and having a good time. Found out Thursday it was sold out and wasn't registered. So, I went golfing up in Hartford at Erin Hills. Needless to say, I spent way more energy walking that golf course than anything else. The caddy said if you walk the course, which we did, it's almost 9 miles of pure hilly terrain. If there's a next time, I'm getting a cart!

I know this thread is really old....but I just came across the date for next year's 5K - July 25, 2009. I'm woefully out of shape, so perhaps it could be a goal for me to actually run it...
