Interesting read regardless, but at the end it mentions both Fielder and Hart have been using this new style of bat.

Hats off to the designer, Grady Phelan. A simple, but revolutionary idea. I love anything that protects our players from hamate injuries. If it protects a few fans from flying bats, even better.

Yeah, I seen this last night on the broadcast. Rock and BA were talking about them and had a few bats in the booth showing what they looked like and how they are held. Pretty cool.

The guy who owns/designs Rock Bats (Roland Hernandez) helped to get the patent on this design. He is having a pretty good year, to say the least...... Its pretty cool that Rock Bats are owned/designed/manufactured all in Wisconsin.
