Cleaning an LCD screen

A small insect got sort of smooshed on my LCD screen and a dry cloth isn't getting it off. Any suggestions on cleaning? I heard that distilled water on a cloth works but anything else?

a very slightly damp microfiber cloth works great on my LCD. And then immediately use a dry microfiber cloth. Are you talking computer LCD screen or a big-screen TV LCD?

Water (better yet, distilled) with a microfiber is indeed your best bet. Whatever you do, never use Windex or other glass cleaners on an LCD, or even more importantly, Plasma screen ever.
