arby figures--when the player submits an amount lower than his team's amount

i recall it happening one year . . . i laughed when i read the report. when dealing with arbitration-eligible players, it's quite rare for the team to submit a higher figure than what the player submits.

who was the last mlb player this happened to?

did he fire his agent afterwards?

any brewers ever?

what happens in the salary arbitration process if this occurs? i seem to recall that the player's requested salary was bumped up to match the team's submitted amount.

What report? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Did that happen this year?

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

my memory is fuzzy, but i can confirm this:

it was a number of years ago. it was not a significant player. it was a man.

Well, that narrows it downhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I feel like there was one a couple years ago, but I can't find anything
i bet we're thinking of the same player. couldn't have been more than five to seven years ago . . . and perhaps even more recently than that. thanks for the other finds.

i remember Jorge Fabregas lost his case to the Dbacks, then the next day they ripped up the contract and gave him 2 years with a higher base salary than he would have had
