If we are going to play this year?

Beeks will be back. I also have a friend that would like to join. Beeks and Radman know him, and Tyler and Razzzor have played with him in a tourney last summer. He's a good player and a nice guy. I'd say he's pretty similar to Brent as a hitter. He is really good at first and solid in the OF.

Houlie, I didn't like the cut of his jib.

Anyway, I am out. It's been a good run but the miles, but on the car and in the legs have taken their toll. Actually, I just got into a league a little closer to home on the same day. I don't know about Tyler as he is in Milwaukee this summer. I can email him at some point.

It's been fun and if you ever need a sub, let me know. Also, if we get a tournament team going, count me in. Radman get those stats up from last year!

Hard to blame ya, Razzor. Pretty amazing the amount of travel you put into being on the team all these years. We'll definitely need to have you make some guest appearances this season if you're up for it. Please have your cousin post here if he's in.

Looks like we'll definitely be in the market for some new players this year. Razzzor out, possibly his cousin out, Brent's gone (right?), and Happy is probably out too due to his schedule? It'd be nice if we had a solid list of 9-10 guys before we commit and pay the big team fee. Sounds like we're at seven right now, not too far off, and our team entry isn't due until mid-February, so we've got some time to assemble more names. Radman, should we count on Firenick being back? Nullbyte, would your brother be interested? Hopefully Iron Chef, Ando, etc will stumble upon this and let us know if they're back. I can PM them if need be.

When the renewal comes around next month, I have no problem taking care of it. We'll all just square up when we get together in the spring for practices....!!

What night do you all play again?

What if we got a secondary sponsor to cover the charges? I know the owner of Club Paragon, and he's always happy to sponsor teams and supply shirts. I could ask him about it. For shirts, we could have something like the brewerfan logo or just brewerfan.net across the front, numbers on the back and club paragon logo on the sleeve.

Getting some cost relief would be nice, but as I understand it we really can't introduce other sponsors to the mix if we want to continue as the BF.net team. I can understand the reasoning, as soon as BF.net's name gets attached to some other organization like a bar or whatever, an element of control is lost in terms of the site's image/reputation/etc. Maybe something small would be approved, or maybe something that involved one of the site's past/present/future affiliates (eg, Long Wong's). I could try to get a response before the mid-Feb deadline....

My feet are trashed, thank you plantar faciaitis and Achilles spurs... Perhaps when I get bionic feet instead of these godforsaken messes....Out..

Maybe we should just get our own bar http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Anyways, I'm not adamantly opposed to having a co-sponsored team. It's not like we can't take it back if we have a full squad any given following season.

I think I'm done too. It has been a good run and I had fun despite my stellar softball prowess. Thanks for the opportunity and maybe after a year of retirement, I will come back and subject you all to more self-deprecating whining.

Interested in being a sub some nights, ICN?

We have time to fill out the roster, but the deadline is coming up soon to submit the team/sponsor registration. Should we try to do a co-sponsor thing? If someone has a contact and we can move quickly, we might be able to save each player some money. Let's get a dialog going in this thread and we'll see where we're at a week from now before I need to turn in our team/sponsor forms.

I'll talk with the owner of Club Paragon and see what he's says about it.

I've got it on my calendar to get our paperwork turned in next week. I'll keep checking back here or feel free to PM me!

EDIT: If it doesn't work out to get something set up in time for this year, it'd be nice to at least lay some groundwork for next year.
