Congrats to Mr. Bush. Hope he has a great season.

Washington said he likes Bush's "perseverance, his heart, his character, his thought process out there trying to pitch."

"He pitches with a purpose," Washington said. "We felt like he could help us."

Gritty quotes by Washington.

They didn't make the World Series for nothin'.

Ranger fans and Dave's parents George Herbert Walker and Barbara must be pleased.

Good for him. Always a fan.

Good to see, even if it likely took an injury to Tommy Hunter and an earlier out clause than Brett Tomko to make the roster. He had a solid career in Milwaukee...hopefully it isn't quite over yet.

[Fear The Chorizo]

Hopefully Mr. Bush pitches most of his June-August appearances on the road...he profiles as trouble pitching a majority of his innings at the Arlington Ballpark during the summer when baseballs hit in the air don't want to land.

Still - long relief for an AL team isn't a bad gig for him

I always liked Dave Bush a lot. He's the kind of guy that doesn't make the words gritty, battler, and tough sound like insults.

I hope he does well for them.
