2011-04-08 Cubs (Zambrano) at Brewers (Wolf); [Brewers lose, 7-4]

[Yeti73]

I think we may need to score 6+ runs to win this game.

[ELCABALLO45]

Soto "smoked" that ball.

Also, I am stuck watching this game through the small window on the MLB Mix ch. pretty sure I can't stand listening to Len and Bob anymore.

Yup...at least.

[ELCABALLO45]

Jeff Baker? Really? Nice work Weeks and Wolf.

[bylo tesi me]

3 more unearned runs

[ninja33]

At least our horrible fielding didn't cost us a run. Oh wait.

or 4 of them. whoops.

[valpocrewsader]

Wolf. Some of us were really, really right about him being a terrible three year signing.

[ELCABALLO45]

We better get more then 2 off Carlos freakin Zambrano or I am going to be upset.

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

He's still gotta make pitches, error or not.

I sure hope it doesn't take Doug as long as it did with Soup. Wolf isn't good.

[fondybrewfan]

So Weeks accounted for one bad play; Wolf still gave up two homers and 4 hits. The guy has been pathetic since the very start of spring training

[brains and braun]

Randy Wolf does not pass the eyeball test.

[brains and braun]

Tony Plush taking out his frustrations on the baseball. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

[ELCABALLO45]

Silly ump trying to screw Tony Plush. Zambrano should of just said "No its ok, ball 4"

You have to love how Wolf has given up 2 HR's, but only 1 ER. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the silliness involved in "earned runs", I don't know what will.

[ninja33]

still very frustrated from the top half of this inning....but it's really nice to see the bottom of the order find a way to produce some runs. Not something i'm counting on happening too often....but it's definitely nice.

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

For some mid-game levity, the Rangers decided to pull a "Team Dempsey" in Baltimore.

What happened to zambrano? He used to throw 95 with a lot of movement. Tonight he's barely touching 90 with little movement

Running Ron must not thing so, as he was playing small ball in the second.

[brains and braun]

The Continuing Adventures of UBet...In our last episode, it was the top of the fifth inning...

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

Oh Rickie... I thought we were past all this.

[ELCABALLO45]

Seriously Rickie? This is getting old.

[SoCal Brew Crew Fan]

I fully blame Tyler Barnes for tweeting about the lack of errors the Brewers have had this year for tonight's defensive blunders. Not to mention their defense has been horrible all year despite the lack of "errors".

[ELCABALLO45]

Gomez with a great at bat only to have it end with a strike out. Frustrating

[Ennder]

His velocity picks up as it heats up but he has never thrown 95 on a regular basis. He has always lived in the 92-93 range just with a lot of movement.

As for Wolf, he did more or less what we paid him for overall last year and it is 2 games into this season. Seems a bit premature to compare him to Suppan, his deal was also a lot more reasonable than Suppan's was.

[GormanHarvey]

Ok. He just looks a little off to me. He's kind of short arming the ball. Good lord Brenly is ignorant and annoying
